The purpose of our Salaah (the Faraa'idh and Nawaafil) should be: 1. ...for the remembrance and worship of Allaah. 2. ...in obedience to Allaah . 3. ...out of gratitude for Allaah . 4. ...for the love of Allaah.

Sufyān Al-Thawrī (رحمه الله) wrote to ‘Abbād ibn ‘Abbād: « وعليك بالأمر الأول والتمسك به وعليك بالخمول فإن هذا زمان خمول وعليك بالعزلة وقلة مخالطة الناس » “Hold fast to the original way and adhere to it. Remain obscure, for this is a time for obscurity. Keep to seclusion and minimise mixing with people.” Al-Jarh wa al-Ta’dīl by Ibn Abī Hātim (1/87–88)

No woman wants a man *whose eyes wander to every woman*. And no man wants a woman who seeks the eyes of every man People often dislike in others what they overlook in themselves. If you desire a spouse who lowers their gaze, then *lower yours first*. If you desire a spouse who guards their modesty, then *guard your own*. The qualities you seek in a spouse should first be found in you. _Be the kind of spouse you are asking Allah to bless you with._

Treat Others How You Would Love to Be Treated. A teacher becomes upset with a student/pupil and addresses them in a way that is seen as disrespectful. The student responds: "Ustadh, you spoke to me like this last time, please refrain from doing so again. Do not disrespect me or violate my honor; otherwise, you are not following the hadith about showing mercy to the younger ones." The teacher, became angrier and said: "Do not talk back to me; this shows your disrespect." What is the underlying issue here?! As educators of children, many of whom could be our grandchildren, we have learned over the past two decades that children observe and evaluate the actions of adults, no matter how much respect they may have for you. So, when rules are broken and you take the time to explain their mistakes and clearly outline the consequences, they recognise fairness and comply, even if they attempt to persuade you to lessen the penalties or negotiate them due to their desire to avoid losing playtime or golden time. Therefore, as adults or anyone older than others, we must engage with younger individuals respectfully and not speak without consideration, as everyone inherently feels that they deserve to be valued and treated with dignity. As adults and seen as role models by children, we sometimes err in our communication with younger people and may forget our errors, or assume they will be overlooked, but the younger party often does not forget. Rebuking a younger to stop what you think is disruptive behaviour does not warrant speech that may be viewed as disrespectful. 𝔍𝔬𝔦𝔫 𝔬𝔲𝔯 𝔠𝔥𝔞𝔫𝔫𝔢𝔩 𝔣𝔬𝔯 𝔯𝔢𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔡𝔢𝔯𝔰

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: "When Allāh granted Prophet Yusuf physical beauty, it caused him to be locked in the prison but when Allāh granted him knowledge (when he interpreted the dream of the King) it not only took him out of prison, but elevated his rank in society, clearly showing us the virtue of knowledge and that physical beauty does not mean anything." عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏"‏ غَطُّوا الإِنَاءَ وَأَوْكُوا السِّقَاءَ وَأَغْلِقُوا الْبَابَ وَأَطْفِئُوا السِّرَاجَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لاَ يَحُلُّ سِقَاءً وَلاَ يَفْتَحُ بَابًا وَلاَ يَكْشِفُ إِنَاءً فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَعْرُضَ عَلَى إِنَائِهِ عُودًا وَيَذْكُرَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ فَلْيَفْعَلْ فَإِنَّ الْفُوَيْسِقَةَ تُضْرِمُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ بَيْتَهُمْ ‏" ‏ ‏.‏ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قُتَيْبَةُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ‏"‏ وَأَغْلِقُوا الْبَابَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Cover vessels, waterskins, close the doors and extinguish the lamps, for the Satan does not loosen the waterskin, does not open the door and does not uncover the vessels. And if one amongst you fails to find (something) to cover it well, he should cover it by placing (a piece of) wood across it. Qutaiba did not mention the closing of the doors in the hadith transmitted by him. Sahih Muslim 2012

Sincere Repentance Ibnu Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: When you resolve to repent sincerely and it arises from the depths of your heart, it will burn away the sins you have committed, as if they never even happened. For the one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin. _ Al-Wabil Al-Sayyib (12)

Eid Mubarak to everyone feeling alone this year. To everyone missing someone who is no longer here. To the ones standing at the Eid prayer watching families embrace each other, only to walk back home with no one waiting for them. Know this: The very man whose legacy we celebrate this Eid — Prophet Ibrahim — lived a life marked by loneliness, separation, and immense tests. But Allah became for him: the Cooler of every fire, the Quencher of every thirst, the One who transforms unbearable loss into unimaginable joy, the Companion when the entire world feels distant. So celebrate not only the Eid itself, but the chance to know the Lord of Ibrahim. The One who never abandons His servants, even when everyone else does. Eid Mubarak.

⚡️ Avoid being among those who do not seek help from Allaah during difficult times, as they neglect to thank Him in moments of ease: عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: ❞مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَسْتَجِيبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ عِنْدَ الشَّدَائِدِ وَالْكُرَبِ فَلْيُكْثِرِ الدُّعَاءَ فِي الرَّخَاءِ ‏❝ Abu Hurairah narrated: Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ said: ❝Whoever would be pleased to have Allaah respond to him during hardship and disaster should make much Du`aa’ in times of ease.❞ 📚 [Sunan al-Tirmidhee (3383) and graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

*Virtues of First 10 days of Dhul Hijjah* *The Prophet ﷺ said:-* “There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. 📚 Ibn Majah 1727 (Sahih) "The Prophet ﷺ used to fast the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah," 📚 Abi Dawud 2437 (Sahih) *The Prophet ﷺ said:-* “Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah, I hope from Allah, expiates for the sins of the year before and the year after.” 📚 Ibn Majah 1730 (Sahih) So therefore, Day of ‘Arafah is a great day, so it is recommended to fast that day for those not doing Hajj. Fasting is only permissible for the first nine days, as the tenth day is Eid.

Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Let none of you wish for death on account of an affliction that befalls him. If he has no alternative, let him pray: 'Allahumma ahyine ma kanatil-hayatu khairan li, wa tawaffani idha kanatil-wafatu khairan li (O Allah! Give my life so long as the life is good for me, and take away my life if death is good for me)'." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Arabic can describe an entire situation with just one word In English, you often need a full sentence: He asked for forgiveness. She made someone understand. They sought help. Arabic can compress all of that into a single verb. Take this word: استغفر (istaghfara) It comes from the root: غ ف ر (gh-f-r) — to forgive But the pattern استفعل (istafʿala) adds a specific function: seeking or requesting something So استغفر does not just mean “forgave.” It means: he actively sought forgiveness. Another example: استعمل (istaʿmala) from ع م ل (ʿ-m-l) — to do, to work → he made use of something → he actively put something into use One word → A full idea! Arabic builds meaning in layers: root → core idea pattern → function form → nuance Instead of adding more words, it adds structure inside the word itself. That is why advanced Arabic feels dense. Not because it is complicated — but because it is compressed meaning.

🌙THE FIRST TEN DAYS OF DHUL HIJJAH - SERIES 🌙 PART 4️⃣ 📌What are the recommended acts of worship in these first ten days?- 1⃣ The acts of worship performed in these Blessed days can be categorized into 2 categories. A. The Muslims performing the Pilgrimage. B. The Muslims not performing the Pilgrimage. 📌The Muslims going for Hajj have to perform a set of rites and rituals during all the days of Hajj. Learn more here: https://t.me/TreasuresOfKnowledge/12114 ➡️Here we discuss the deeds recommended for the Muslims who are not performing the Hajj. 1⃣ The Takbeer, Tahleel, Tasbeeh and Tahmeed due to what has been reported in the Hadeeth of Ibn Umar (radiyallaahu-anhu) that: ‘’Increase in Tahleel, Takbeer and Tahmeed in it (i.e. during these days). Imaam Al-Bukhaari (rahimahullaah) said: Ibn Umar and Abu Hurairah (radiyallaahu-anhumaa) used to go to the market place during the first days of Dhul-Hijja whilst uttering the Takbeer and the people also used to do so alongside them. 2️⃣Salaah: Give more emphasis and concern to the obligatory prayers and increase in optional prayers, because the prayer is amongst the greatest means of seeking nearness to Allaah. 3️⃣Fasting: fasting is included amongst the righteous deeds. Imaam Nawawi (rahimahullaah) said about fasting the first nine days of Dhul-Hijja is strongly recommended. 4️⃣ Sadaqah: As is mentioned by Ibn Hajr (rahimahullaah) in Al-Fath: What is apparent is that the reason the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are distinguished (with excellence) is because of what it gathers of the main foundational acts of worship, and they are: Salaah, Fasting, Charity and Hajj, which are not found in other than them.) 5️⃣ Seeking Knowledge: Seeking religious knowledge such as the Names of Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) and the Qur’an are among the best worships because it is a type of remembrance. The virtue of seeking knowledge is the reward of hajj and as .)سبحانه وتعالى( if one is in the struggle for the sake of Allah 🔹To be continued in sha Allaah.. 🌙THE FIRST TEN DAYS OF DHUL HIJJAH- SERIES 🌙 PART 3️⃣ ⭐️Virtues of the first Ten Days of Dhu’l-Hijjah - 2⃣⭐️ ➡️The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are the best and most virtuous days of the year. They are the days in which Allaah the Mighty and Majestic – most loves the doing of good deeds. 🔹About this the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “The best days in the world are the ten days.” 📚[Saheeh: Related by al-Bazzaar (1/234). It was authenticated by Shaykh al-Albaanee in Saheehul-Jaami’ (no. 1133).] 🔹The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) also said, “There are no days that are greater with Allaah, and in which good deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days. So increase in making tasbeeh (saying Subhaanallaah), tamheed, tahleel and takbeer, during them.” 📚[Saheeh: Related by at-Tabaraanee in al-Kabeer (3/110/1) It was authenticated by al-Mundharee in at-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb (2/24).] 🔹Imaam Ibnul-Qayyim (d.751H) – rahimahullaah – said about these Ten days, “Indeed, its days are the most excellent of all the days with Allaah. And it has been confirmed in Saheehul-Bukhaaree (2/382), from Ibn ’Abbaas (radiyallaahu ’anhumaa) who said, that Allaah’s Messenger (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, “There ore no days during which good deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these (ten) days.” He was then asked, ‘Not even jihaad in the path of Allaah?’ So he replied, “Not even jihaad in the path of Allaah, except for a person who goes out with his self and his wealth, and comes back with nothing.” 📚[Refer to Zaadul-Ma’aad (1/56).] 🔹To be continued in sha Allaah with the good deeds one can perform in these Blessed days, bi'iznillaah.
