PHNOM PENH, June 16, 2026 — Cambodia's Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has forecast normal to above-normal rainfall during the 2026 wet season, while warning of thunderstorms, strong winds and localized flooding in some parts of the country.
In a seasonal outlook released on Tuesday, the ministry said Cambodia is expected to remain under neutral El Niño conditions throughout the rainy season, while the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) is also projected to stay in a neutral phase.
