| 4 | Today, I'm finishing my #dance_history escapade with a link to Jacob’s Pillow Dance Interactive. This website houses a rich video archive with nowhere-else-to-be-found recordings of performances, themed video playlists, and a dance-focused podcast. Pina Bausch (1940 – 2009) was a German dancer and choreographer who worked in the Tanztheater style.
'Bitterness, anger and brutality dominate many of Bausch's pieces, and some viewers react to her work with revulsion and hostility. Yet few would deny her success in her primary goal of provoking emotional response in the audience. [...] The viewer is forced to face head-on emotions that most people prefer to keep hidden' (Ballet and Modern Dance, Susan Au).

Trisha Brown (1936 – 2017) was an American choreographer and dancer, one of the founders of the Judson Dance Theater and the postmodern dance movement.
The movements, sound, and design of Set and Reset (originally performed in 1983) are based on a few simple ideas:
● Line Up
● Play with Visibility and Invisibility
● Travel the Edges of the Space
● Act of Instinct
● Keep it Simple
