#USGANNOUNCE [THE UNIVERSITY STUDENT GOVERNMENT OPPOSES THE 2.5% TUITION FEE INCREASE FOR AY 2021-2022] In upholding the best interests of the student body and in response to the ongoing health and economic crises, the University Student Government (USG) proposed a 0% Tuition Fee Increase during the Tuition Fee Consultations with the University. The proposal was made after results from consultations with students showed a pressing need for a 0% increase for the next academic year. Through a majority vote, the Multi-Sectoral Consultative Committee on Tuition Fees (MSCCTF) approved a 2.5% tuition fee increase for AY 2021-2022. We oppose the tuition fee increase as we continue to uphold the best interests of the student body.
