RESOURCE S WORTH CHECKING OUT STADD: Services to Adults with Developmental Disabilities (STADD) offers Navigator services for transitioning youth and their families in 145 communities across B.C. Navigators act as the primary point of contact for individuals in coordinating transition planning and access to supports and services through the transition period of 16-24 years old. STADD encourages and supports information-sharing between government and community resources, and leads the coordination of all involved. Once you are deemed eligible for CLBC-services, you can request the services of a STADD Navigator or contact 1-855-356-5609 to self-refer. The City of PG is looking to fill approx. 150 paid positions to help run the 2026 municipal election, with applications now being accepted through July 31. The City is seeking election officials for advance voting opportunities as well as general voting day, scheduled for October 17, 2026. Interested residents can apply online through the City's website or pick up an application package on the fifth floor of City Hall. Among the positions available is the Presiding Election Official who is responsible for overseeing the operation of a voting place and ensuring all requirements under the Local Government Act are met. The position pays a day rate of $550. The City is also hiring Alternate Presiding Election Officials who manage voting locations and assume the responsibilities of the Presiding Election Official if needed. The position pays $500 per day. The City requires numerous Election Officials to carry out duties such as voter registration and monitoring voting machines, receiving a day rate of $320. Those selected to work the election must be available from approx. 6 am to 9 pm on the scheduled days. Voting locations will be open from 8 am to 8 pm during both advance voting and general voting day. The upcoming election will determine the makeup of Prince George City Council for the next four year term.
