#Homonyms (သံတူကြောင်းကွဲစကားလုံး) ဘာသာစကားတစ်ခုကို လေ့လာတဲ့အခါမှာ စကားလုံးလေးတွေက စိတ်ဝင်စားဖို့ကောင်းပါတယ်။ စကားလုံးကြွယ်ဝလေလေ ကိုယ့်ရဲ့စာအရေးအသားက ဖတ်လို့ကောင်းလေလေပါပဲ။ မြန်မာစာမှာဆိုလည်း ဝေါဟာရတွေရဲ့အသုံးအနှုန်းတွေက သူ့နေရာနဲ့သူ မတူကြပါဘူး။ English ဘာသာစကားမှာလည်း ထိုနည်း၄င်းပါပဲ။ ဒါကြောင့် English learner တွေအနေနဲ့ စကားလုံးတစ်လုံးကို အသေမှတ်ထားတာထက် ထိုစကားလုံးရဲ့ အသုံးပြုပုံအမျိုးမျိုးကို နှံ့နှံ့စပ်စပ်လေ့လာတာက ပိုအကျိုးရှိပါလိမ့်မယ်။ ဒီတော့ English ဘာသာစကားမှာ တွေ့ရတတ်တဲ့ homonyms (သံတူကြောင်းကွဲစကားလုံး) ၊ homophones (သံတူ အရေးကွဲ အနက်ကွဲစကားလုံး) နဲ့ homographs (အရေးတူ အနက်ကွဲ အသံကွဲ စကားလုံး) တို့ကို လေ့လာကြည့်ရအောင်ပါ။ ဒီနေ့တော့ Homonyms အကြောင်းပြောပါမယ်။ Homonyms ဆိုတာတော့ စာလုံးပေါင်း အသံထွက် တူပြီး အဓိပါယ်မတူတဲ့ စကားလုံးတွေပါ။ ဥပမာလေးတွေ ကြည့်ရအောင်။ Crane ---------- (1) That bird is a crane.
