The BEC Home Mass at St Mary reminded us of the importance of relationships, community, mercy and love.
We were reminded of the importance of mercy and forgiveness. When someone is hurt, lost or has stepped away from the community, we should not simply leave them behind. We are called to keep reaching out, giving them time and space, and continuing to pray for them.
As a BEC community, may we keep loving, keep trying and keep praying, even when relationships are difficult. With God’s grace, broken relationships can be healed, hope can be restored, and our community can become a place where everyone feels welcomed, valued and loved. ❤️🙏
“You shall love the Lord, your God… and your neighbour as yourself.” Matthew 22:37–39

🕊️ Homily by Fr George Harrison
The readings reminded us of God’s compassionate and generous heart. In Ezekiel, God speaks against shepherds who neglect the weak, the sick and the lost, promising that He Himself will care for His people. This is echoed in the Psalm: “The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.”
In the Gospel, Jesus’ parable of the workers in the vineyard reminds us that God’s generosity cannot be measured by human ideas of fairness. His love and mercy are freely given to all. Instead of comparing ourselves with others or complaining about what they receive, we are called to recognise and be grateful for the blessings God has given us.
As a BEC community, may we grow in gratitude, complain less, compare less, and care more. When we look after one another, we become a reflection of God’s loving, generous and compassionate heart. ❤️🙏

🕊️ Homily Reflection by Fr George Harrison
“If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me.” — Matthew 16:24
For Christians, the Cross is more than a symbol. For centuries, we have looked to the Cross to understand the depth of Christ’s love — a love that gives completely.
Fr George reminded us of what makes the Cross so profound. Jesus’ body hung upon it, wounded for us, and when His side was pierced, blood and water flowed out. This is why on Good Friday we come forward to kiss and venerate the Cross — not simply as a ritual, but as an expression of love and gratitude for the sacrifice of Christ.
May we have the courage to take up our cross and follow Jesus, not only in words, but through the way we love, serve and remain present to one another.

Reflecting on the Canaanite woman who persistently called out to Jesus, Fr George reminded us that prayer is more than speaking, asking or repeating words. Prayer also means becoming still enough to listen.
The woman cried out to Jesus, yet at first there seemed to be no answer. Still, she did not walk away. She remained, listened, knelt before Him and continued to trust. Through her perseverance, her faith was revealed.
Sometimes, we too pray and wonder why the answer has not come. We become impatient and want God to answer now. But God invites us into a time of grace — to wait, listen, walk with Him and trust.
God’s answer may not always be the answer we expect. Sometimes He closes one door and opens another. But when we give Him time, we learn to trust His wisdom.
🙏 “Lord, I will not turn away. I know You have the answer. I trust in You.”
✨ In His time, He makes all things beautiful.

St Louis BEC family gathered in faith as we celebrated the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola with Holy Mass.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Philip reflected on the courage of the Prophet Jeremiah, who remained faithful in leading God’s people despite rejection and opposition. Likewise in the Gospel, Jesus was rejected in His own hometown because hearts had become hardened and were unwilling to accept Him
Fr. Philip reminded us that when we drift away from God and the Eucharist, our hearts can slowly become closed to His presence. We are called to stay rooted in God’s Word, gather around the Eucharist, and live out Christ’s greatest commandment—to love God and to love one another. Our faith is not only to be believed but to be lived, becoming the light of Christ for those around us
Inspired by St. Ignatius of Loyola, may we seek God’s presence in all things and allow Him to transform our hearts so that we may faithfully build His Kingdom

On the Feast of Saints Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, our St Anthony BEC family gathered joyfully for Home Mass celebrated by Rev Fr Philip Asirwalam and Rev. Fr. George Harrison.
Reflecting on the home in Bethany, where Jesus was always welcomed, Fr. George reminded us that every Christian home is called to welcome Christ. Like Martha and Mary, we are invited to balance being with Jesus and serving others, for true service begins by first sitting at His feet.
He also reminded us that Jesus nourishes us with both physical and spiritual food. Our life as a community begins at the Table of the Eucharist, where Christ feeds us, strengthens us, and sends us forth to love and serve.
May we, like Martha, boldly proclaim: “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ,” and continue to make our homes places where Jesus is always welcome.
