🗣️ Christian Eriksen on what has changed: "I think we started, the players, we started believing what we are doing on the pitch. The 1-0 wins gave us a lot of confidence. I think it is a bit belief. He wants us to do stuff and we try to do that."

🗣️ Christian Eriksen: "No, not really [there is no World Cup distraction]. For every footballer it is the same. We are focused on the next game."

🗣️ Christian Eriksen: "Yeah I do [think #mufc need to improve]. I also have the feeling the fans feel it. You can see the development in the games, there has been a bit of a rising. We are starting to believe it but there are things we can do better. We are on the right path."

🗞 January is shaping up to be a quiet month for #mufc, and signing a replacement for Ronaldo is not on the agenda unless a low-cost emergency solution can be found. [@TheAthleticUK]

🗞 Whether Ronaldo would sacrifice the remaining six months of his #mufc salary is a significant question. An alternative could be United coming to an agreement with him over his owed wage - negotiating a one-off sum, but in reality, this is a remote possibility. [@TheAthleticUK]

🗞 European clubs were informed Ronaldo was willing to take a pay cut to leave last summer but no #UCL sides made a proposal to buy him. In the summer, #mufc wanted a fee, but now they would allow a free transfer subject to his contract being mutually terminated. [@TheAthleticUK]

🗞 Erik ten Hag wants to hear whether Ronaldo can countenance not being a starter - should he accept flexibility, he is expected to re-join first-team training. If he rejects it and presses to leave again, ten Hag would allow him to explore finding a new club. [@TheAthleticUK]
