Oil is also volatile amid the news. Brent futures trade up roughly +1.7% (~$94.71), with the market still worried about a possible Strait of Hormuz closure and supply disruption risk.
Bitcoin and the crypto market
Since October (when Bitcoin peaked near $126,000) holders have realized cumulative losses of about $174bn!
Paradoxically, despite Bitcoin’s much larger nominal market cap today, the scale of capitulation is far less dramatic than in the 2022 bear market.
The acceleration in selling was influenced by Fed policy concerns, weaker demand and institutional profit‑taking. But the June correction looks more like buyers vanishing than panic selling.
Microsoft and AI
The OpenAI partnership moved into a new phase — Microsoft gained more freedom to develop its own advanced AI.
At Build 2026 the company demonstrated seven models: flagship MAI‑Thinking‑1, code models (MAI‑Code‑1‑Flash), and models for image generation, transcription and speech synthesis.

Apple’s Mac product outpaced all other Macs in sales. IDC reports the budget MacBook Neo sold about 1.1 million units in the quarter ended March.

Neo only went on sale on March 11, so this volume was achieved in less than three weeks of the quarter.
The secret isn’t expensive new silicon — Neo uses the A18 Pro (the same chip as iPhone 16 Pro), not an M series chip, allowing a $599 starting price ($499 for students and educators). MacBook Air’s entry price is $1,099. Apple has effectively entered the budget laptop segment.

Apple is preparing a large iOS 27 update and related systems, Mark Gurman reports in Bloomberg. Changes will cover AirPods controls, AI image generation, support for third‑party streaming services, and a standalone Siri app with automatic chat deletion.
Apple plans to fully remake the AirPods settings panel in iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27. The interface will become more functional, convenient and better organized. Although a separate AirPods app isn’t planned, the control panel will be redesigned so health tools, gestures and AI audio processing are easier to manage in one place. The goal is to eliminate fragmentation and confusion users have faced when configuring across Apple devices.

Apple is preparing a large iOS 27 update and related systems, Mark Gurman reports in Bloomberg. Changes will cover AirPods controls, AI image generation, support for third‑party streaming services, and a standalone Siri app with automatic chat deletion.
Apple plans to fully remake the AirPods settings panel in iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27. The interface will become more functional, convenient and better organized. Although a separate AirPods app isn’t planned, the control panel will be redesigned so health tools, gestures and AI audio processing are easier to manage in one place. The goal is to eliminate fragmentation and confusion users have faced when configuring across Apple devices.
The standalone Siri app will look more like ChatGPT or Gemini: chat bubbles, text and voice input, file uploads, searchable chat history. The main feature is automatic chat deletion — users will choose retention: 30 days, one year, or forever.
