Some thoughts for the essay paper : 1. Make sure you select topics which you are comfortable with, have good enough content on, does not restrict your expression skills. 2. Once a topic is selected, stick to it. Don't deviate. 3. Start with the 1st or 2nd essay, whatever you are most comfortable with. 4. Have fun while writing the essay. Don't overburden yourself with expectations. Your natural flow will be your best self. 5. Think broadly when you are writing the essay. For example, let's say the essay topic is "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world." - It is not just about a mother shaping the child, but it also points to the role of family, educational institutions, society, cultural practices, etc. Basically the whole gamut of interactions which shape a child. So think broadly but be cautious – Do not at any cost deviate from the central theme of the essay. 6. Keep your language simple, straight to the point and concise. 7. Arguments are the core of the essay. Examples are only there to substantiate. Not the other way round. 8. Finally, do not stress. You are going to do damn well! #mains26

Some gyaan for the coming days - 1. Revise constitutional articles, case laws, quotes, SDGs, DPSP, FRs. 2. Have a cursory look at all the current affairs for the past year and make sure you have not missed out on anything. For that you can go to CA playground or any other coaching magazine compilation and go through the titles/index of the same. 3. If you have diagrams prepared look at them, if not you can check out Mehak Jain ma'am's channel for the same. 4. Write atleast one flt before going to the actual exam but make sure to do it this week itself. Keep the next week light. 5. Do not study any new material now. What is done is done. Have faith in yourself and your studies. 6. Make sure you know which pen you are going to use and make sure you are habituated to using that. Do not stress yourself over unnecessary things. With the help of our newly trained model - the backend workload has reduced and weekends feel less occupied once again. Earlier it was 2 persons manually fixing the poorly cropped articles. But with the inhouse trained ML model, its back to one person doing all the work in 1/4th of the earlier time. @upscseeproanalytics

We have added a new table view in CA Playground based on user suggestions. This makes the navigation easier. Table view can be selected from top bar. Also, the subject, topic and date filters can be applied from top in table view. Clicking on any row will now bring the article pane - which has mains relevant content extracted out of the article along with the original news clip for reference. With this addition, the graph mode has been removed. The list view has been retained for mapping directly to UPSC CSE MAINS syllabus.

Since Mains is near : 1. Pls don't read anything from now on that you won't be able to revise 3x. 2. Coming to revisions, aim for 3 revisions - First one spread over 10-12 days should be full on active recall but for topics that are high ROI. Revise current themes in this. For the second revision - in the week before mains - do a short circuited active recall - just major keywords and value addition stuff like examples, data, committee etc. In the third revision, it should be skimming over the keywords, diagrams and other things you want to revise just before entering the exam hall. Avoiding active recall in the third phase will help you save mental energy. @upscseeproanalytics
