From the Causes of a Strong Personality: Good Character
🎙Ash-Shaykh Abee Sulaiman
Salman Al-Imad ((حفظه الله))
Explains ⤵️
Among the supplications they make, and among the foundations of a strong personality, are noble manners and virtuous etiquette. The strongest of people in character are those who possess the best manners.
For this reason, Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, praised our
Prophet ((ﷺ))with this tremendous quality, saying, as a commendation and favor:
“And indeed, you are upon an exalted standard of character.”
(Al-Qalam: 4)
The Prophet ((ﷺ)) also said:
> “I was only sent to perfect righteous manners.”
[[Al-Muwatta’ 1614]]
And the Prophet ((ﷺ))said:
“Indeed, the closest of you to me in rank on the Day of Resurrection will be those of you with the best character.”
[At-Tirmidhi].
And he ((ﷺ)) said:
“I guarantee a house in the highest part of Paradise for the one who has good character.”
[[Sunan Abu Dawud]]
Good character includes humility, dignified conduct, composure, and good speech.
Likewise, it includes gentleness and treating others with kindness.
The Prophet(( ﷺ ))said:⤵️
Gentleness is not found in anything except that it beautifies it, and it is not removed from anything except that it disgraces it.”
[[Sahih Muslim 2594]]
Likewise, our Prophet ((ﷺ))
Said:⤵️
“No one humbles himself for the sake of Allaah except that Allah raises him.”
[[Sahih Muslim 2588]]
This is the true elevation: ⤵️⤵️
that a person be gentle in character, humble, easygoing, and lenient.
Among the qualities of our
Prophet ((ﷺ))was that he was neither harsh nor hard-hearted, nor one who shouted in the marketplaces.
He did not repay evil with evil; rather, he would pardon and overlook.
This is what Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As mentioned regarding the characteristics of our Prophet ((ﷺ)) that he found in the Torah, just as they are found in the Noble Qur’an.

From The Examples of Strong Character: Muhammad ((ﷺ))
🎙Ash-Shaykh Abee Sulaiman
Salman Al-Imad ((حفظه الله))
Mentions:⤵️
"And likewise, there are many examples from the biographies of the early and later generations. Here are the Companions of Muhammad ((ﷺ, ))and before them our Messenger((ﷺ ))himself.
The strength of his character became manifest when they sought to crown him and grant him kingship.
He said: ⤵️
'If you are able to give me a flame from the sun, I will answer you to what you desire.'
He said this by way of demonstrating the impossibility of their request.
As for the narration, 'By Allaah, if they were to place the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left hand, I would not abandon this religion,' it is a well-known narration, but its chain of transmission is not authentic. Shaykh Al-Albani authenticated the first account.
Likewise, this strength was displayed in many instances
. And when Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed to His Prophet:
'Say: O disbelievers, I do not worship what you worship. Nor are you worshippers of what I worship. Nor will I be a worshipper of what you have worshipped. Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship. For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.'
(Surah Al-Kafirun)
Thus, this is the true fruit of a strong personality: that you give preference to the pleasure of Allaah over everything else.
Whoever seeks to please Allah even if it brings the displeasure of the people, Allaah will be pleased with him and will cause the people to be pleased with him as well."

Among the Benefits Of Having a Strong Character (strong personality)
🎙Ash-Shaykh Abee Sulaiman
Salman Al-Imad ((حفظه الله))
Explains ⤵️
The strength of one's character becomes apparent on the day when your decision is correct, your opinion is sound and successful, proceeding from the foundation of knowledge, wisdom, and the correctness of intention and will.
Lastly, O Muslim, may Allaah care for and preserve you, you must know: what is it that strength of character benefits you with?
It benefits you, first and foremost, with trust in Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, and sound judgment.
For when a person is strong through Allaah, everything besides that becomes insignificant to him.
I put my trust in Allaah, my Lord and your Lord! There is not a moving (living) creature but He has the grasp of its forelock. Verily, my Lord is on the Straight Path (the truth).
Among the benefits of strength of character is that you are not an imma'ah (a person who merely follows others blindly), imitating without proof or evidence.
Rather, you worship Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, with that which brings you closer to Allaah, Glorified and Exalted is He.

[6] He is regarded as one of them the most prominent causes behind dividing the Salafī Daʿwah in Yemen, and he incited students of knowledge, supporters, and even mashāyikh to abandon their brothers in Dār al-Ḥadīth in Dammāj under the claim that they were fanatical toward Al-Ḥajūrī according to his allegation.
[7] He is regarded as one of the foremost supporters and approvers of the errors and negative positions of Muḥammad Al-Imām concerning the Rāfiḍah, such as the الوثيقة (agreement/document), normalization, and similar matters.
[8] He is among the Mashāyikh of Al-Ibānah who speak the most against Ahlus-Sunnah from the students of Dammāj whether Shaykh Yaḥyā or his students criticizing and defaming them without right and distorting their image, even through lies, except for what occurred from Al-Waṣṣābī {رحمه الله}.
The refutations against Al-Burʿī are very numerous, both written and audio-recorded.
And if you wish to study the matter further, you may read what I mentioned in the previously referenced book, which is available on the official website at:

Warning Against The Dangerous Condition Of ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Al-Burʿī
📩 Question 📩
“السلام عليكم ورحمة و بركاتة
I ask Allāh that you are in good health and well-being.
I am a brother originally from the Comoros Islands, currently residing in France.
Allāh has blessed me to benefit from the lessons of brother Khālid ibn Ḥajar Al-Jazāʾirī who was among the students of Shaykh Muqbil
I have also benefited from the lessons and advice of a righteous brother named Khalīl Al-Martinīkī who was previously among the students of Shaykh Yahyā Al-Ḥajūrī, as well as from the lessons of Shaykh ʿAbdul-Ḥamīd Az-Zuʿkarī حفظه الله.
I would like to ask you regarding ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Al-Burʿī.
What is the reason that it is not permissible to take knowledge from him?
Some brothers ask me about him and request that I clarify this issue to them, yet in truth I do not know how to explain it to them, nor the principles and reasons upon which this position was built.
This matter is extremely important, especially since the Daʿwah here is very weak, and I am in need of learning and clarification, and of explaining the condition of those who are not upright, so that distortion and confusion does not occur among the brothers.
Therefore, I ask you may Allāh preserve you to kindly clarify this issue for me.
May Allāh reward you with goodness for your answer, and may Allāh bless you.”
📨 Answered by Ash-Shaykh Abū Sulaymān Salmān Al-ʿImād
We praise Allāh, we are in goodness and well-being. May Allāh grant you well-being also.
As for ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz Al-Burʿī, may Allāh guide him, he is one of the major mashāyikh of Al-Ibānah.
I have mentioned some of what occurred from him in my book Al-Īḍāḥ Wat-Tabyīn in detail.
He also has many objectionable statements and positions.
Here I will summarize the most important criticisms taken against him:
[1] He is regarded as one of the first who revolted against Dār Al-Ḥadīth in Dammāj and began spreading disagreement and fitnah between the two shaykhs:
Al-Ḥajūrī and Al-Madkhalī (Shaykh Rabīʿ
[2] He was among the first to openly attack Al-ʿAllāmah Al-Ḥajūrī and to spread accusations that he belittles the Companions and the Messenger ﷺ.
[3] He also has statements containing implicit Takfīr against Ahlus-Sunnah, such as his saying:
“If you say:
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ made a mistake that is easy.
Al-Ḥajūrī says:
‘The Messenger ﷺ made a mistake.’
But if you say:
Al-Ḥajūrī made a mistake,’ woe to you!”
And his statement:
“Nothing remains except that they say [meaning Ahlus-Sunnah from the students of our Shaykh Yaḥyā], and whatever you differ concerning, then refer it back to Yaḥyā Al-Ḥajūrī.”
And his statement:
“Even if you increase your prayer by one hundred rakʿahs, if you do not love Al-Ḥajūrī it will not benefit you.”
Meaning:
He alleges that Ahlus-Sunnah believe this.
And his statement:
“The Followers of Al-Ḥajūrī are more fanatical towards Al-Ḥajūrī than the Ḥanafīs are toward Abū Ḥanīfah!”
And his statement:
“The Ḥajūrī standard by which the creation of Allāh is weighed!”
He says this about Ahlus-Sunnah.
All of this and other than it is clear and outright falsehood.
[4] He is also among the most severe in abandoning and weakening Ahlus-Sunnah during their war against the Rāfiḍah, having issued numerous fatwas and statements clarifying his opposition to what Ahlus-Sunnah were doing in fighting the Rāfiḍah, considering it to be fighting of fitnah.
[5] He is regarded as one of the most severe in normalizing relations with the Rāfiḍah and recognizing them as legitimate rulers.
When the Grand Hall in Ṣanʿā’ was struck which contained a number of Rāfiḍī leaders along with some common people he lamented over it and condemned it in a recorded khutbah.
Yet when the Markaz of Al-Jawbah was struck afterward, we did not hear a single word from him.

[From] Delight in Mentioning the Rulings of Taʿrīf for the Non-Pilgrim
———
The Meaning of Taʿrīf and Its Types
First: The Meaning of Taʿrīf
The meaning of taʿrīf is that people gather after ʿAṣr on the Day of ʿArafah for supplication, remembrance, and humble entreaty to Allāh, the Exalted, until sunset, just as the people of ʿArafah do. (1)
Second: Its Types
It should be known that taʿrīf is of several types:
١ - مِنْهُ : شَدُّ الرِّحَالِ إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ لِقَصْدِ الذِّكْرِ وَالدُّعَاءِ، فَهَذَا مُنْكَرٌ بِغَيْرِ خِلَافٍ، كَمَا سَيَأْتِي مِنْ كَلَامِ شَيْخِ الْإِسْلَامِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ.
1. Traveling to mosques with the intention of engaging in remembrance and supplication. This is a reprehensible practice without any disagreement, as will be seen in the words of Shaykh al-Islām, may Allah have mercy upon him.
2. Traveling to shrines and commemorative sites with the intention of remembrance and supplication. This is shirk and a reprehensible practice as well, without any disagreement.
3. Going to the mosques within one's locality without undertaking a journey. This is the type concerning which there is a difference of opinion, as will be discussed, if Allāh wills.
Another type consists of exerting oneself in supplication and remaining in a place within one's home or mosque, increasing in supplication and remembrance.
We shall discuss these types, by Allah's permission, together with the statements of the scholars regarding them.

Important: Not Every Statement Should Be Answered, and Not Every Speaker Should Have His State Exposed or His Words Critiqued.
———
Some statements are revived by responding to them, and some people are only made more visible by being answered.
A dormant statement and an irrelevant speaker should not be engaged; rather, the best approach is to let them fade out along with their words.
Many are not fit for engagement due to their lack of scholarly discipline, absence of fairness, and lack of sincere pursuit of truth.
If we were to respond to every speaker and every claim, there would not be enough time even for one idle person, let alone dozens from various schools and ideologies.
Life is short.
The path of refutation requires struggling against the self, restraining its desires, and disciplining it.
It must be restrained from every response that neither supports a Sunnah nor breaks a bidʿah, and from anything that brings no benefit.
Since hearts are weak and doubts are quick to seize them,
attention should be placed on refuting doubts and false claims, as long as they have influence and there is fear of their impact.
With patience, full verification, and constant adherence to justice and fairness.
That is a sign of truth and a path of guidance.
And Allāh is the One whose help is sought, and upon Him is reliance.

The Prophet ﷺ likewise emphasized this shared responsibility in his statement:
“Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock… and a man is a shepherd over his household and is responsible for his flock.”
[Agreed upon]
from Ibn ʿUmar (رضي الله عنهما)
The Yemeni Social Context
Indeed, we as a Yemeni society fully realize each according to his position and standing that we are not in need of these suspicious shelters, at the very least, considering the religious and tribal values and principles we possess, which do not necessitate the acceptance of such projects.
However, with the widespread prevalence of poverty and unemployment, some weak-hearted individuals have found therein fertile ground for attaining a portion of worldly gain, especially in light of the generous funding involved.
Yet with proper vigilance and complete awareness, such projects will be shattered against the walls of virtue, honor, and protective jealousy (Ghayrah).
The Dangers of Establishing “Shelters for Abused Women”
The establishment of what are called “shelters for abused women” or any other name carrying the same objective within the Yemeni environment carries grave dangers, among them:
1. Encouraging Rebellion Against Parents and Husbands
These foreign-funded shelters may encourage girls and women to rebel and depart from obedience to parents or husbands at the very first natural family disagreement, rather than striving for reconciliation and reform.
Allāh, the Most High, says:
“And if a woman fears ill-treatment or aversion from her husband, then there is no blame upon them if they reconcile between themselves in a peaceful settlement, and reconciliation is best.”
[An-Nisāʾ: 128]
2. Weakening Family Protection and Dignity
Residing in public shelters may bring social shame upon a woman and her family and deprive her of the protection and dignity that are best preserved through her home and relatives.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Treat women kindly.”
[Agreed upon]
from Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه)
3. Replacing Family Guardianship With Unknown Entities
Separating a woman from her family and guardians results in unknown organizations or parties assuming the role of substitute guardians over her.
This conflicts with:
• Islamic juristic principles
• Yemeni tribal values and customs
• The understanding that a woman’s honor, protection, and dignity are preserved through her family and guardians
Important Questions Raised
Why Are Shelters Not Built for the Homeless and Destitute?
A large number of youths and elderly people in Yemen fill the streets and sidewalks:
• Without shelter
• Without food
• Without proper care
So why are shelters not established for them?
Do they not also possess humanity and dignity?
Why Specifically Women’s Shelters?
Why are shelters established for women who already live among:
• Families
• Homes
• Relatives
• And social care
while displaced persons and victims of war remain without refuge or assistance?
Do Existing Islamic and Legal Institutions Not Already Exist?
If family disputes or abuse do occur and no society is free from such matters then:
• Does our religion not provide solutions?
• Do Sharīʿah courts not exist to receive complaints?
• Is there not a Family Court established for such cases?
• Are there no legal means for restoring rights and aiding the oppressed?
Has the Yemeni Woman Truly Been Left Without Support?
Who is the Yemeni woman who suffered abuse and oppression yet found:
• No support from her family
• No assistance from relatives
• And no justice from official authorities
Why Not Improve Families Instead?
Could these foreign-funded organizations not direct their budgets toward:
• Improving the living conditions of afflicted families
• Providing suitable environments within homes and villages
• Supporting reconciliation and stability
instead of removing women into isolated shelters?
Or is the objective merely to place them in separate locations where they may later become easier targets for exploitation and manipulation?
An Evaluation of ‘Women’s Shelters’ in Yemen and Their Impact on Family Cohesion
———
All praise is due to Allāh, who honored women, elevated their rank, and established the family as a fortified refuge and a secure sanctuary for them.
May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and upon his family and companions altogether.
To Proceed:
Indeed, whoever contemplates the noble and radiant legislation of Islam will clearly perceive the lofty station and immense care that it has accorded to women. Islam has placed the woman within the homes of her father, husband, and brother as a safeguarded pearl, protected and honored.
It has obligated her family to treat her with righteousness, defend her dignity, and grant her rights in full, without diminution or neglect.
Under the shade of Islam’s tolerant and noble teachings, and through the honorable customs, traditions, and deeply rooted values inherited by authentic Yemeni society throughout history, women have continued to enjoy a distinguished position and exceptional care from their families, relatives, and tribes.
Thus, in our beloved Yemen, the woman is the revered mother, the honored sister, and the cherished daughter whose dignity is preserved and whose needs are fulfilled within the protection and care of her family.
The Yemeni Muslim woman is encompassed by a complete system of moral values, religious teachings, and tribal customs through which her Islamic and customary rights have been fully maintained.
Likewise, this remains the condition of the Muslim woman in any land, so long as she preserves her honorable standing in Islam, regardless of the country in which she resides or the language she speaks.
Accordingly, the woman in our society, under this deeply rooted familial and communal care, stands in no need whatsoever of foreign interference or imported ideologies that claim to protect her or allege to advocate for her rights. Therefore, so-called “shelters for abused women,” regardless of the names, titles, or descriptions under which they are presented, together with the ideas and agendas accompanying them, stand in contradiction to the unique nature of our society and our firmly established religious principles.
Such initiatives constitute a direct threat to the cohesion of the family structure.
It is indeed regrettable that this ill-fated experiment, which first emerged in Iraq, has now been transferred to our lands.
Nevertheless, by the praise and favor of Allāh, we have witnessed widespread rejection that reflects the living conscience of Yemeni society — a society that refuses any encroachment upon its principles and values.
Even if attempts are made to beautify the image, alter the terminology, or introduce certain restrictions intended to render such Westernizing projects more acceptable, the underlying reality remains unchanged, and the driving force behind them remains one and the same.
Due to the cohesion of Yemeni society and its firm adherence to its principles and values, it may not always be possible for every reality to be openly stated.
Consequently, one naturally encounters vague and elastic terminology, alongside efforts to pacify public sentiment through certain publicly declared restrictions — restrictions which, in reality, they do not necessarily consider themselves bound to uphold.
Perhaps Allāh will facilitate the preparation of a comprehensive and thoroughly documented study drawn from their official sources, so that it may be presented as an academic research work exposing the concealed realities and hidden dimensions behind these matters.
And all success and aid are from Allāh alone, and there is neither might nor power except through Allāh.
“Beginning: Allāh says…”
Allāh, the Most High, says in His Noble Revelation, affirming the role of men and families in protection and guardianship:
“Men are caretakers and maintainers of women because Allāh has given some of them advantages over others and because they spend from their wealth.”

A Loving Advice
Delivered by: Shaykh Abū Sulaymān Salmān ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿImād, may Allāh preserve him.

The Blessing of Remaining Firm Upon the Methodology
My Noble Brother:
Reflect upon the favor Allāh has bestowed upon you and recognize the goodness He has granted you.
Knowledge, learning, Da‘wah, Sunnah, steadfastness, and firmness:
• Neither negligence nor compromise
• Neither excessiveness nor deficiency
• Neither extremism nor abandonment
A path of striving toward goodness with patience, sincerity, and hope for reward.
The worldly life did not sweep us away as it swept others.
Positions and titles did not change us as they changed many.
Political pressures did not distort our principles until we accepted what we once rejected or rejected what we once upheld, as occurred with others.
Our Da‘wah yesterday, today, and tomorrow remains one and the same by Allāh’s permission.
⸻
The Divine Reality of Trials and Tests
Do you wish for Allāh to honor you with all this goodness while you never endure trials that test your truthfulness?
Nor tribulations that reveal your steadfastness?
Nor hardships that elevate your rank?
Nor opposition and harm through which you become true inheritors of the Prophets?
Do you expect roses to be laid before you, crowns to be placed upon your head, and all people—despite their differences—to be pleased with you?
Indeed, that would be astonishing.
Allāh, the Most High, said:
“And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over the denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can alter the words [i.e., decrees] of Allāh. And there has certainly come to you some information about the [previous] messengers.”
[Al-An‘ām, Verse 34]
⸻
Conclusion
And finally, O brothers:
Know that the truth is clear and radiant, never truly hidden, while falsehood is weak and unstable, incapable of remaining firm.
Guidance has become distinct from misguidance; the light has become manifest and darkness has faded away.
It is not befitting for one who has drunk deeply from the springs of revelation that his intellect should be shaken by every incident, influenced by every doubt, or halted by hollow headlines devoid of substance.
The intellect of the believer is like a towering mountain, unmoved by passing winds of doubt.
Whoever understands the foundations and principles will never be misled by temporary events nor deceived by glittering slogans.
For this matter concerns religion and creed, and time is far too precious to be wasted upon the noise and nonsense of opponents.
May Allāh make us and you among those firmly grounded in knowledge, steadfast upon the truth until we meet Him.

Steadfastness and Ignoring the Opponents
My Noble Brothers:
We are not concerned with those who believe their survival depends upon our destruction.
Nor with those who think they cannot advance while we remain upon our path.
Nor with those who preserve their reputation only by attacking us.
Nor with those who gather people around themselves only through turning them away from us.
Allāh, the Most High, said:
“And say, ‘Do [as you will], for Allāh will see your deeds, and [so will] His Messenger and the believers. And you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you of what you used to do.’”
[At-Tawbah, Verse 105]
⸻
The Danger of Spreading Doubts and Misconceptions
O beloved brothers:
Let us not busy ourselves or our brothers with spreading rumors and circulating doubts.
Our opponents spend days and nights monitoring our websites and listening carefully to the recordings of our scholars—not seeking beneficial knowledge, but searching for a slip or mistake.
Then if, after great effort, they find something, they celebrate it, spread it widely, and magnify the headlines surrounding it.
Sadly, some sincere lovers then help spread these matters further, occupying their brothers and wasting valuable time.
Clarifications and explanations are offered out of care and sincerity—but until when shall this continue?
If only you knew that among the matters consuming much of our time are the messages from sincere brothers asking:
“How do we answer this doubt?”
“What do we say regarding this issue?”
I ask some of them:
“Did you carefully listen to the material yourself?”
They answer:
“No.”
So I replied:
“Remove the headline, listen to the actual audio carefully, and show me the point of concern according to what you yourself understood—not merely according to the title they fabricated—and I shall answer you.”
Then he says:
“I already know the truth, praise be to Allāh, but an average person may become affected.”
So I say:
“Then answer him using the knowledge and certainty Allāh has already granted you.”
Allāh, the Most High, said:
“Had they gone forth with you, they would not have increased you except in confusion, and they would have been active among you, seeking [to cause] fitnah (i.e., chaos and dissension). And among you are avid listeners to them. And Allāh is Knowing of the wrongdoers.”
[At-Tawbah, Verse 47]
⸻
Beware of the People of Desires and Deviations
My dear brother:
Do not accompany the people of desires and deviations, for sitting with them is a disease of the heart.
Do not attend their gatherings, frequent their websites, or engage in discussions with them, even if you know them personally.
Then how much more dangerous are anonymous groups and hidden agendas?
The suspicious individuals found no place among our ranks after Allāh exposed them.
We became alert to their schemes, exposed their reality, and refused to allow anyone to establish public or private groups speaking in our name until every individual within them was known to us.
Nor do we accept any publication unless it bears the clear identity of its author along with knowledge of his condition and methodology.
Beyond this, we are in no need of such support, even if it outwardly claims to defend us.
Through this, Allāh preserved our ranks.
⸻
Patience and Steadfastness
O one whom Allāh has granted success:
The efforts of the people of falsehood will never stop at a single platform or method.
Their tactics include:
• Searching for mistakes
• Spreading lies
• Quoting out of context
• Distorting realities
• Defaming others
Therefore, prepare yourself to face the waves of falsehood and the spears of desires with the armor of steadfastness, certainty, and conviction.
In truth, they are presently weak. So if they were stronger, would we then weaken?
Never, by the permission of Allāh.
﷽
A Loving Advice (نصيحة مُحب)
⸻
All Praise is Due to Allāh, Lord of the Worlds
All praise is due to Allāh. We testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allāh alone without partner, and we testify that Muḥammad (ﷺ) is His servant and Messenger.
To proceed:
Indeed, among the greatest means by which hearts and minds are safeguarded during times of trials, after the grace and success granted by Allāh, is steadfast adherence to the path of sacred knowledge, fortification through awareness and insight, and firm conviction that leaves no room for confusion or uncertainty.
⸻
Advice from a Sincere and Concerned Brother
O people of intellect from among the seekers of knowledge, the lovers of goodness, and the virtuous noble ones:
This is sincere counsel from one who loves you and desires safety and goodness for you.
How beautiful are words that emerge from the heart of one who truly cares for those around him.
It is compassion for your hearts that gives life to the tongue of sincere advice.
Allāh united us upon the path of knowledge and the Sunnah, and it grieves us deeply that a beloved companion or close brother should go astray from this blessed way.
These words are written out of protective concern for you, lest dazzling headlines and deceptive slogans snatch away your minds.
What motivates this reminder is neither self-praise nor a claim to superiority in knowledge—for who are we, and what are we?
Rather, it is pure sincerity, genuine concern, and protective jealousy over hearts and minds.
⸻
Protecting Minds and Hearts
The intellect of a believer is a preserved garden; it is not a place for every reckless person to roam freely within.
Likewise, the heart of a believer is a pure vessel that should never be filled with filth and corruption.
We live in an age where waves of ideologies crash violently against one another, doubts spread rapidly, and platforms of sensationalism have multiplied.
For this reason, every sensible person must stand guard over his heart and mind, not allowing doubts to enter merely due to confidence in oneself or reliance upon one’s own understanding.
How many feet have slipped, and how many minds have deviated?
Was it not wisely said long ago—a statement worthy of being inscribed in the finest ink:
“Hearts are weak, and doubts are swift in snatching them away.”
⸻
Do Not Give Attention to Rumors
O noble brothers:
Not every rumor deserves our attention, nor does every cloud of dust raised by opponents deserve to blind our vision.
The fabrications of adversaries are endless, for their disease is chronic. Their goal is to occupy the people of truth with endless distractions and controversies, and others have unfortunately aided them in this effort.
They seek to halt the spread of awareness and insight so that the bridges of misguidance, corruption, and confusion are not demolished, and so that the fragile structures built upon weak foundations do not collapse.
Allāh, the Most High, said:
“So Allāh struck at the foundation of their structure, and the roof fell upon them.”
[An-Nahl, Verse 26]
⸻
Signs of the Soundness of the Path
O beloved ones:
What remains after the truth except misguidance?
Were you not guided to the truth by Allāh alone, not through your own power or strength? And Allāh guides whom He wills to the straight path.
Are you not upon clarity and insight regarding your affair?
Is not the united hostility directed toward you itself evidence of the soundness of your path?
Had you possessed many hypocritical faces, who would have opposed you?
Had you practiced compromise and flattery, who would criticize you?
Had your verdicts been flexible and diluted, who would feel discomfort toward you?
Likewise:
Had you carried no influence, who would care about you?
Had you borne no fruits, who would attack you?
Had you not moved firmly upon your path, who would seek to stop you?
In summary:
If you were insignificant, who would trouble themselves with you?
New Khuṭbah: “And within yourselves, will you not then see?”
