It looks like we will have a decent turn out at this year's Sumarmál! We will be announcing the new contest soon.

Sumarmál is a little over a month away. If you're interested in coming you need to get your ticket application in asap.

The Founder’s Coin Fund is now live. To mark the founding of the Sedian Heritage Foundation, we created a limited edition 2" Founder’s Challenge Coin featuring our seal and the words “Strength Through Tradition.” Only a limited number of these coins will be produced. Anyone who donates $100 or more will receive a coin as a thank-you gift while supplies last. Coins are currently being produced and are expected to ship in mid-April. Your support helps us continue building educational programs, cultural events, and long-term heritage projects. Donate: Sedian Heritage Foundation https://share.google/dJTfuH4PLTO9q3ZQg

Just a heads up we are having a hard time locking a place down for midsummer. We are going to continue to look but we may have to suggest another plan if we can't find a place soon.

I just spoke to a trademark lawyer. They said it would cost $2500 we have just over $1000 of it.

Our three immediate goals: 1. File for nonprofit - complete 02/09/26 2. Finish website and open bank account - complete 02/11/26 3. File for Trademark - in progress 02/11/26 Step by step, we will accomplish our goals.

Strong communities are built through shared responsibility and active involvement. Support for the Sedian Heritage Foundation will be used to promote cultural literacy, preserve heritage, and strengthen community ties. As the organization grows, designated funds may also allow for community support initiatives when appropriate, administered with accountability and discretion. We are grateful to those who are supporting this work at its beginning, and we welcome others who value education, preservation, and community building to take part. Our 1023 form has been filed!

Upcoming events: Sumarmál in April. We are planning on doing a smaller Sumarmál event, depending on how many would be interested in coming. This is being planned now. Midsummer in July - this is being planned as we speak and will be a larger event. As with all events, space is limited and an application must be filled out before acceptance is permitted.

This year, for our summer event, I’ve decided to make a session-style mead (under 7% ABV) for those who want to participate in the drinking competition. The goal is a 6% strawberry and elderflower mead, keeping the alcohol content lower so the event can be enjoyed and respected by everyone attending.
