😏 Russian authorities have announced that they have opened a criminal case against Telegram founder Pavel Durov, accusing him of facilitating terrorist activity.
According to the statement, Russian investigators intend to place Durov on an international wanted list, but this does not mean he is currently internationally wanted. Any actual international notice would require a separate procedure and is not confirmed at this time.
The announcement also claims that Ukrainian intelligence services allegedly used the Telegram dating bot "Дайвинчик / Leo" to recruit Russian citizens through social engineering and psychological manipulation. Russian officials say dozens of people aged 12–22 were detained in connection with alleged sabotage, arson, and other crimes.

A vulnerability was discovered (and has already been fixed) affecting Japanese accounts, allowing users to purchase Telegram Stars at extremely low prices (for example, 10,000 Stars for around $1.50). As a result, some users used them to buy the most expensive gifts on the internal marketplace.
There is no need to worry. As usual, these gifts remain transfer-restricted, meaning they cannot be sent to external marketplaces (unless they were purchased directly on accounts belonging to third-party marketplaces).

I contacted Identity Digital, the registry operator for the .ME domain zone, to request the reason why t.me was placed on "serverHold".
The company has now responded and confirmed that the domain was suspended due to OFAC-related compliance requirements.
