قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: هل تُصلى صلاة الكسوف والخسوف في البيوت؟ Is the eclipse prayer prayed in the houses? السنة للرجال الفزع إلى الصلاة في جماعة، The Sunnah for men is to hasten to the prayer in congregation, ويجوز للرجل أن يصليها منفردا أو في بيته، and it is permissible for a man to pray it individually or in his house. وأما المرأة فيجوز لها أن تصليها مع الجماعة، As for the woman, it is permissible for her to pray it with the congregation, ويجوز لها أن تصليها في بيتها، and it is permissible for her to pray it in her house, ويرى بعض أهل العلم أن صلاتها في بيتها أفضل. and some of the people of knowledge hold that her prayer in her house is better. https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: أنا أحب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أكثر من نفسي و لا أحتفل بالمولد النبوي، I love the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more than myself, and I do not celebrate the Prophet’s birthday. وأنا في ذلك في شق صحابة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أجمعين، وفي شق أئمة التابعين، وفي شق الأئمة الأربعة وسادات الدين، And in that, I am in the camp of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ all together, and in the camp of the imams of the Tābiʿīn, and in the camp of the four imams and the leaders of the religion. فقل لي بربك أيها المحتفل في شق من أنت من أهل القرون المفضلة؟ لن تجد أبدا، So tell me, by your Lord, O celebrant: in the camp of whom are you from the people of the preferred generations? You will never find [an answer]. فإن ذكرت أحدا ممن بعد القرون المفضلة وسلمت لك أنك في شقه، قل لي بربك هل يساوي واحدا ممن أنا في شقهم؟ And if you were to mention someone from after the preferred generations and I conceded to you that you are in his camp, then tell me, by your Lord, does he equal one from those whose camp I am in? بل قل لي هل تساوي الكثرة من المتأخرين واحدا من الصحابة رضوان الله عليهم؟ Rather, tell me: do the many from the later ones equal one of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them)? فيا أيها الناس تفكروا وتدبروا ولاتغرنكم زخرفات من الكلام لاقيمة لها، So, O people, reflect and ponder, and let not the embellishments of speech that hold no value deceive you. ولاتعمينكم العاطفة غير الرشيدة، ولا تكونوا أسرى لتقليد متوارث لا يغني من الحق شيئا. Exposing the Origins of Mawlid: An Innovation Unknown to the Companions — A Challenge to Its Defenders! Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli حفظه الله

قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: القواعد الشرعية والأدلة المرعية وواقع القرون الثلاثة المفضلة تدل على أن الاحتفال بالمولد بدعة، لاتقتضيه دلالة ولاتستدعيه محبة، The Sharʿī principles, the established evidences, and the reality of the three preferred generations indicate that the celebration of the Mawlid is an innovation—neither required by any evidence nor necessitated by love. والمحبة التي تُظهر عند هذه البدعة مكذوبة أو منقوصة، And the love that is shown during this innovation is either false or deficient. فلو كانت صادقة لكانت شاملة ولأظهرتها الديانة والحرص على ما ثبت عنه صلى الله عليه وسلم فرضا أو سنة وفي جميع مجالات الحياة، على الأقل في الغالب والجملة، ولا يلزم من هذا عدم العصيان. For if it were genuine, it would be comprehensive, and it would be manifested in religiosity and in being keen upon what has been authentically established from him ﷺ—whether obligatory or Sunnah—and in all aspects of life, at least generally and for the most part. And this does not necessitate the absence of sin. ولو كانت المحبة صادقة لاقتضت الاتباع والأدب مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في هذا اليوم الذي يسمونه يوم المولد، And if the love were genuine, it would necessitate following and showing proper manners with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on this day which they call the day of Mawlid. فلا تكاد تعرف شيئا نهى عنه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في معاملته إلا وتجده في ذلك اليوم عند المحتفلين به مع زيادات أخرى من المنكرات بل تصل عند كثيرين منهم إلى الشركيات. For you will hardly find anything that the Prophet ﷺ forbade in conduct except that you find it on that day with those who celebrate it—along with additional evils, indeed reaching with many of them to shirk. فاحمد الله يامن وُفِّقت لاجتناب هذا الاحتفال. So praise Allah, O you who have been granted success to avoid this celebration. وأما أنت أيها المحتفل فتجرد واترك الاتهامات المسبقة، واقرأ كلامي وأعد قراءته وتأمله، وتأمل حال المحتفلين بالمولد: كيف يحتفلون به، وما يصنعون فيه، وما يعتقدون فيه، وما يقولون فيه، And as for you, O celebrant, then be unbiased and leave aside the preconceived accusations. Read my words, reread them, and reflect upon them. Reflect upon the condition of those who celebrate the Mawlid: how they celebrate it, what they do in it, what they believe regarding it, and what they say in it. وقل صادقا من قلبك: اللهم رب جبريل وميكائيل وإسرافيل، فاطر السموات والأرض، عالم الغيب والشهادة، أنت تحكم بين عبادك فيما كانوا فيه يختلفون، اهدني لما اختلف فيه من الحق بإذنك، إنك تهدي من تشاء إلى صراط مستقيم. And say truthfully from your heart: “O Allah, Lord of Jibrīl, Mīkā’īl, and Isrāfīl, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, You judge between Your servants concerning that wherein they differ. Guide me to the truth regarding that wherein they differed, by Your leave. Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path (Allāhumma Rabba Jibrīl wa-Mīkā’īl wa-Isrāfīl, Fāṭira as-samāwāti wal-arḍ, ʿĀlima al-ghaybi wash-shahādah, anta taḥkumu bayna ʿibādika fīmā kānū fīhi yakhtalifūn, ihdinī limā ukhtulifa fīhi mina al-ḥaqqi bi-idhnik, innaka tahdī man tashāʾu ilā ṣirāṭin mustaqīm).” https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli
