So I’m an intern dev there(snapwre)It’s been soo good ….I’ve been building both my social + technical skills . They let me ask questions and show me things I don’t know without making me feel dumb and they actually make me feel included in bigger things and projects. I’ve started building things with way more confidence now, and I’m also learning AI alongside it. Tho I still doubt myself a lot with some of the things I’m learning lol…

Act gang sup sup Lmaoo that’s funny ig frrr tho, Mr Abiy is a good teacher ..he helped me a lot with OOP too. Gn don’t let the dev community make u feel like u know nothing, it’s just showing u how big the field actually is lol…) doing well in class and being a good developer are related, but they’re not exactly the same thing. There’s just sooo much outside the curriculum that you only discover when you start exploring. ◀️If AI is what u wanna do, start now. At least in my case, ACT gives u a decent math foundation and later u’ll have AI, intro to ML, computer vision and more. Obviously they won’t teach u all of AI cos it’s HUGE, but it helps u explore. So I’d say keep building ur math + programming and slowly start playing around with AI/ML stuff. ◀️Internship, for me, was 3rd year 2nd sem. But if u find something earlier, go for ittt.

Not tremendous but first u gotta change ur mindset. First year or somewhere there, I was always trying and couldn’t really get what I wanted. Something was wrong ig maybe my mindset + how I was studying. Then I started using different tools and also stopped being scared of subjects I didn’t understand. In high school I used to be like “this is my fav subject” so I’d study that more, understand it more, and then basically convince myself I’m just not good at the other ones 😭. I kinda shifted that mindset and started asking myself how I can connect one subject to another, instead of seeing them as completely separate things. Like training my brain to have a full understanding rather than just knowing things individually. ◀️all-nighters… countless not healthy tho, definitely don’t recommend. But I attended almost all my classes and usually tried to do my responsibilities on time. And I study till the last minute, that’s just me I also really like taking notes by hand when I study + flashcards. ◀️And there’s never really a “perfect” time to do everything well, so I kinda balance it between mid and final. If I didn’t do well on the mid, then I’ll መወጠር on the final 😭. You just adjust depending on where you are. ◀️And thanks to Donut / ExamBuddy.app (@DoughNutDrops) too, genuinely worth paying for fr . I also started visualizing concepts more. With Claude/Gemini, you can literally ask them to make you an HTML/CSS page that explains the main idea visually, the important parts for the exam, and the questions you must be able to answer if you actually understood the topic. I think for me it wasn’t really about becoming some super disciplined person. It was more like figuring out how my brain works and finding ways to make learning make sense to me.
