📉 Market Overview BTC: $76,934 ETH: $2,476 Fear & Greed Index: 69 (Greed) BTC Dominance: 59.29% 😎 Yesterday, I expected Bitcoin to take out the nearby high at $79,917. We fell just short, with price reaching $79,600 before a fairly sharp pullback. 📈 BTC is now back inside the strong $76–77K demand zone. As long as this zone continues to hold, I wouldn't rule out another attempt higher. However, another rejection from $79–80K would be a pretty bearish sign for the buyers. For now, the market is essentially trapped between two key levels: $76–77K on the downside and $79–80K on the upside. A breakout from this range will likely give us a clearer direction.

🐂 BULLS VS BEARS 🐻 A new week — another round of the battle between bulls and bears. This time, all eyes will be on the Fed meeting on Wednesday. 🐂 BULLS • Bitcoin continues to hold key levels despite the worsening macro backdrop. • The market has already priced in much of the hawkish Fed expectations — the surprise may not be as significant as it seems. • A break above the descending trendline could open the way toward $80K, where significant liquidity is sitting nearby. 🐻 BEARS • Strong labor market data, hot PPI, and a hawkish CPI have significantly worsened the macro backdrop. • The odds of a Fed rate hike on September 16 surged and briefly exceeded 90%. • Even if the market makes another push higher, the Fed meeting could become a catalyst for profit-taking and renewed pressure on BTC. Overall, the bulls have a technical opportunity to continue higher this week, but the bears have a strong macro argument on their side. Who will win this week? 👍 — Bulls 🔥 — Bears

↗️ Market Overview BTC: $78,032 ETH: $2,520 Fear & Greed Index: 57 (Greed) BTC Dominance: 59.39% 😳 Bitcoin is currently making its second attempt to break above the trendline. Last time, it ended with a short squeeze around $80K. For now, that looks like the next realistic target. It would be pretty typical for the market to push the price higher now, only to dump it on Wednesday. The next Fed rate decision is due that day, and given the latest macro data, I don't expect anything particularly positive for r

🦅 Narrative of the Week: The Fed’s Hawkish Pivot The key narrative this week was the sharp shift in expectations around the Fed’s future policy. A strong jobs report, hotter-than-expected PPI, and hawkish CPI effectively pushed expectations for near-term rate cuts out of focus. More importantly, the probability of a rate hike on September 16 surged from around 68% to 82% after the CPI release, briefly exceeding 90%. Despite this macro backdrop, Bitcoin has yet to show a full-blown bearish reaction. The market attempted to push prices lower, but buyers quickly stepped back in. But the key question now is how long the market can continue to ignore the increasingly hawkish Fed expectations — and how it will react when the rate decision is announced next week.

🔭 Despite the hawkish CPI and price breaking below the old demand zone, the market decided to reverse and sweep short stops above the trendline. If we manage to hold above it, we could see another attempt at the local high. By the way, after the CPI release, the odds of a Fed rate hike on September 16 jumped from around 68% to 82%, with some estimates briefly putting them above 90%.

📉 Market Overview BTC: $77,350 ETH: $2,476 Fear & Greed Index: 56 (Greed) BTC Dominance: 59.45% 😎 So, the $77–78K zone failed to hold. However, we still haven't seen a convincing break and close below it — price has moved back into the range. Still, I don't think the market has enough buying power to sustain the upside, and I expect us to move lower eventually. But I won't be taking any trades before the CPI release. The data, as a reminder, will be released today at 15:30 UTC+3.

📉 Market Overview BTC: $78,257 ETH: $2,473 Fear & Greed Index: 69 (Greed) BTC Dominance: 59.51% 📈 Yesterday, the market confirmed the strength of the upper trendline, and now we’re testing the demand zone again. Price is now caught between these two structures, and we could see a breakout as soon as today or tomorrow. ⏰ Tomorrow, the CPI data is due to be released. I think we could see a couple of manipulative moves around the event, so I’ll only enter trades once I have clear confirmation on the chart — either a strong breakout and hold above the trendline or a break below the $77–78K zone.

🇮🇷 Iran Uses Crypto to Bypass Sanctions Iran’s central bank has eased foreign currency restrictions, allowing exporters to use their overseas earnings to finance imports, including through BTC and USDT. According to the Financial Times, cross-border transactions can be settled through Iranian crypto exchanges. Amid tightening US sanctions, cryptocurrencies are becoming a tool for Iran to bypass the traditional financial system and sanctions restrictions. It would be pretty funny if they started using TrumpCoin for these transactions. Although I think Trump himself would probably be quite happy with that.

↗️ Market Overview BTC: $79,301 ETH: $2,514 Fear & Greed Index: 66 (Greed) BTC Dominance: 59.31% 😳 Yesterday, we got a strong reaction from the demand zone, and now price is right at the descending trendline that has formed. It’s worth watching how price behaves around these levels. A breakout above this trendline could trigger another attempt to reclaim $80K. 📈 A move toward $80K and higher is also partially supported by the liquidation heatmap, with notable liquidation clusters sitting above the current price that could act as a magnet for BTC. I think the macro backdrop continues to push some traders into short positions. But a real sell-off may only come after the market takes out their liquidity and stops first.

📉 Market Overview BTC: $78,392 ETH: $2,474 Fear & Greed Index: 69 (Greed) BTC Dominance: 59.38% 🤓 BTC continues to slide gradually, and now the bulls need to defend the $77–78K area. Holding this zone could give BTC a chance to reclaim $80K and continue moving higher. However, losing this area could trigger a deeper correction. Yesterday was Labor Day in the US, a federal holiday, so the stock markets were closed. Trading resumes today, so we could see more active price action and higher volatility.

The main issue is that time is running out for the current Congress, and if the Clarity Act isn't passed now, it simply dies. Starting over from scratch—reintroducing the bill, holding new committee hearings, and navigating the upcoming election cycles and 2028 presidential bureaucracy—will take years, pushing the next realistic window for crypto regulation out to 2030. By stoking fears of lost tax revenues and innovation moving overseas, the senator is trying to manufacture a sense of urgency among lawmakers to force the bill through in the final moments of the session.

🔪 Bulls vs Bears After the strong NFP report, BTC still hasn't managed to convincingly break and hold above $80K. At the same time, underlying demand remains fairly solid, so the situation is far from clear-cut. 🐂 Bulls: - Spot BTC ETFs saw nearly $987M in inflows last week — institutional demand remains strong. - There is no clear consensus within the Fed. Christopher Waller is open to keeping rates unchanged if CPI confirms that inflation continues to cool. - BTC has already weathered several hawkish signals from the Fed and still made its way back to $80K. This shows that demand is still capable of absorbing macro pressure. - If CPI comes in soft, rate hike expectations could drop sharply again — we've already seen how quickly BTC reacts when those expectations shift. 🐻 Bears: - $80K remains a major resistance level. BTC has tested it several times but still hasn't managed to establish a solid foothold above it. - Oil is already close to $97 a barrel. Further escalation in the Middle East could keep inflation expectations elevated right ahead of CPI. - Following the strong NFP report, UBS is now forecasting two Fed rate hikes in 2026 — one in September and another in December. - If CPI comes in hotter than expected, the market could once again price in a more aggressive rate path. In that case, $80K could turn from resistance into a ceiling for BTC. Either way, $80K is the key level. Break and hold above it — and the path higher opens up. Fail to do so — and we could easily see a move lower to sweep liquidity.

📉 Market Overview BTC: $79,339 ETH: $2,486 Fear & Greed Index: 71 (Greed) BTC Dominance: 59.62% 😁 BTC is still struggling to break and hold above $80K, so I wouldn't expect any major upside in the near term. In my view, it would actually be healthy to see a move lower first and sweep liquidity down toward $70K. If that scenario plays out, we could see further upside after the liquidity sweep. However, a significant move below $70K would invalidate this scenario and force us to reassess the broader market outlook. 💲 The main event this week will be the August CPI (Consumer Price Index). It's one of the key inflation indicators, and together with other economic data, it should help the market form clearer expectations for the Fed's future policy. The Fed's rate decision comes next week, so Friday's CPI could be the last major catalyst before the decision.

📊 Narrative of the Week: Jobs & Fed Rates The main narrative this week is the US labor market and its impact on the Fed's future policy decisions. The August jobs report came in significantly stronger than expected: the US economy added 162K jobs versus forecasts of around 55–65K, while unemployment remained at 4.1%. For the market, this is rather bad news. A strong labor market gives the Fed less reason to ease monetary policy and increases the odds of rates staying higher for longer or even being raised. Following the report, the odds of a September rate hike rose to around 60%. But here's where things get interesting. Trump has a completely different view: he believes that a strong economy and a strong labor market are actually arguments for lower rates. Following the report, he once again called on the Fed to cut rates. So while the market sees strong economic data as a reason for tighter monetary policy, Trump sees it as a reason for cheaper money. Now the question is: who will the Fed listen to — the market or Trump?
