Quick tip for Essay: How to add depth.
I’m taking a topic that appeared in Anubhav Essay today - "Only dead fish go with the flow."
Most people immediately think this is about humans: If you just follow everyone else, you're not really living. That's true but it's also a very common interpretation.
Instead, you must think about the fish first.
A dead fish doesn't smoothly swim with the current. It floats on its back, swells up and gets caught on rocks or branches.
A living fish is the one constantly swimming and adjusting just to stay in place or move where it wants.
So maybe the dead fish isn't simply someone who follows others.Maybe it's something that blocks the flow.
That meaning was hidden in the sentence all along.
We usually miss it because we rush to the lesson without really thinking about the image.
Before deciding what a quote means, first ask, What is actually true about the object or image being used? If you think about it carefully, you'll often discover a fresh and deeper meaning.

| 13 | GS 2 CRUX for mains-
Having scored 118 and 113 in GS 2 consecutively in mains, I believe I fairly know what works in the exam.
1.Inclusion of as many context relevant articles, parts and schedules of the constitution in intro, body as well as conclusion.
2.Usage of committees extensively in arguments for substantiation instead of only using committees in conclusion.
3.Quoting SC judgements and exact reference from them.Do this for famous cases like puttaswamy case etc.
4.Usage of exact constitutional vocabulary for introduction. It helps you provide that depth in GS 2 answers.
5.Recent examples are of immense importance.Use mains 365 extensively or VAM to extract latest examples.
6.Try to write as many points as possible since questions are analytical in nature and have scope of increasing points.
Note: Completion of paper is of utmost importance.Practice writing answers daily so that you are able to maintain quality in time crunch. | 2 061 |

| 17 | The GS 3 breakthrough:
GS 3 in mains has seen a dip in recent years.
Having discussed the strategy with multiple people who have been able to score around 100, I have come up with some specific tips-
Economy: standard static notes + Economic Survey thoroughly. This really gives an edge over others. Use pie charts and graphs wherever possible in your answers
Agriculture: PYQ-focused approach. Cover data, government schemes, and committees for almost every topic. Agriculture allows this strategy well because questions tend to repeat across years.
Internal Security / Disaster Management: Same approach as Agriculture i.e PYQs + schemes/committees mapped to recurring themes.
Science & Tech: Don't try to cover everything. Pick 20-30 most important topics that were heavily in the news (use Mains 365 to identify these) and prepare them exhaustively rather than superficially covering everything.
Environment: Same strategy as S&T .Prepare fewer topics, deeper prep, news-driven selection. | 1 742 |
