📰 OpenAI spent about 34 billion dollars in 2025, increasing its expenses in the race for AI ahead of a planned IPO, including approximately 19 billion dollars on R&D and nearly 6 billion dollars on sales, marketing, and other expenses
According to the Financial Times, the company generated revenue of about 13 billion dollars, but its expenses still far exceeded its income, and its reported losses increased to about 39 billion dollars from 5 billion dollars in 2024. However, most of this increase was due to a non-cash accounting write-off of about 30 billion dollars related to previous investor instruments. Excluding this and other non-cash items (including stock compensation and computing power credits from Microsoft), the underlying losses amounted to about 8 billion dollars.

Report from the US Accountability Office (GAO): Only 25% of F-35 fighter jets are fully ready for combat missions. 44% are more or less ready. The remaining 56% - well, you get the idea... Have you seen Lockheed Martin's capitalization? 😂
📊 The graph shows that combat readiness has steadily declined year after year, while maintenance costs have risen.
Amazing.

🚨🇨🇳 China Builds Quantum Computer That Can’t Be Hacked
Shattering encryption was once the quantum computer's dark promise. Yet China's homegrown Origin Wukong has turned vulnerability into strength by fusing superconducting quantum power with post-quantum cryptography in a "spear-and-shield" architecture that resists both classical and quantum attacks.
This unfolds amid intensifying global competition. The US National Institute of Standards and Technology warns quantum computers could compromise current encryption within five to ten years. China plans national post-quantum standards within three years while prioritizing quantum technology in its national strategy for future industries.
For over two years Origin Wukong has completed more than one million quantum tasks for users across 192 countries, backed by nearly 49 million remote visits. Since April 2024 its Origin Rock module has protected enterprises and institutions with defense designed to withstand quantum-enabled breaches.
The achievement demonstrates a coordinated strategy that pairs computational leadership with built-in resilience. This dual approach addresses long-term data security risks and positions integrated quantum platforms as a template for secure technological progress worldwide.

China has solved the legal hurdles to drone services and autonomous piloted craft— such as the one that I flew in in Guangzhou, China 🇨🇳
“Drone use poised to soar as FAA homes in on rule change allowing pilots to fly them out of sight”
Today, [in the USA 🇺🇸 ] almost anyone who flies a drone must maintain visual contact with it at all times, a practice known as visual line of sight. This requirement severely restricts how far craft can fly. When the Federal Aviation Administration rule changes allowing people to fly their drones beyond visual line of sight are finalized, commercial use is likely to soar.
Flight beyond visual line of sight will fundamentally change drone operations, allowing for a wide range of applications. Imagine a drone flying well ahead of a train to ensure the tracks are safe, or large drones monitoring and spraying vast farm fields, improving farm efficiency and reducing labor costs.
Drones, formally called unmanned aircraft systems, or UAS, are being used or developed for a wide variety of applications, such as inspecting pipelines, assessing forests for potential wildfire, finding people needing rescue, assessing disaster damage, monitoring borders and ports, and surveying wildlife and the environment. There is also an emerging industry for using drones to deliver packages – everything from transplant organs to fast food meals.
One of the safety challenges is flying aircraft that are beyond a line of sight…In all circumstances, crewed aircraft have absolute right of way. Commercial drone operators must hold an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate. Operators violating any of these rules may be subject to license revocation, significant fines or time in prison. As of early 2026 there were over 800,000 registered drones operating mostly in uncontrolled airspace.
Full integration of drones into the National Airspace System would require a number of steps. The current FAA Part 107 rulecovers operation of drones under 55 pounds. Under the rule, regulators have sometimes issued waivers, exemptions and other authorizations to allow flight operations beyond visual line of sight, but the regulatory process has lagged behind current drone technology.
The FAA is finalizing a new framework called Part 108 to specifically cover flight beyond visual line of sight, including under fully autonomous control and for larger and heavier drones.
Smart drones would still have to be integrated into the National Airspace System. Several initiatives are underway. The NASA-UAS-NAS project is investigating how drones could use command-and-control technologies to allow them to operate autonomously in the same airspace as crewed aircraft. The FAA Beyond program is developing new flight rules that drones would need.

"We are ready to fight Russia tonight," said the head of the German Air Force:
NATO will strike at Kaliningrad, the Kola Peninsula, St. Petersburg, and the Black Sea in the event of a conflict with Russia.
"The commander of the German Air Force told The Telegraph that the country is ready to 'fight tonight' and defend every inch of NATO territory. In the event of a conflict with Russia, strikes will be carried out on the Kola Peninsula, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, and the Black Sea. He stressed that in NATO 'there are no different security zones' - an attack on Estonia would trigger the same response as an attack on London.
Germany is increasing its stockpiles of Patriot, Iris-T, and Arrow 3 air defense systems, aiming to become the 'strongest army in Europe'. Neumann warned not to underestimate Russian aviation, noting its high adaptability, and rejected the idea of 'European autonomy' in defense, calling for strengthening the transatlantic bond. In the event of war, the German Air Force will be redeployed to the eastern front. He also stated that Germany is ready to defend British skies with air defense if London requests assistance."

🈁The Netherlands is preparing for war with Russia: a prisoner-of-war camp is being tested. 🙈
For the first time since the Cold War, the Dutch army is conducting exercises to set up a prisoner-of-war camp in case of a conflict with Russia. At the Marnehezen training ground, a project of a facility capable of accommodating up to 2,000 people in a week is being tested. Civilian contractors involved in infrastructure for large music festivals are planned to be involved in the construction. Instead of traditional towers and spotlights, modern video surveillance systems, sound detectors, and drones will ensure security. Prisoners will be housed in white barracks of 20 people each, with officers and enlisted men staying together. There will be a dining hall, a medical clinic, showers, and walking areas. The use of gadgets will be prohibited, but the option to write letters will be provided. Commander Nicole de Wolf noted that prisoners will be provided with conditions no worse than those of the Dutch military, adding that in recent decades, the army has practically lost the experience of holding thousands of prisoners. Our kahal only has one question - where and when did the Dutch army have thousands of prisoners? Let's say, over the past 150 years, at least? But we already have the answer - never and nowhere. Since 1831, when the war with Belgium ended, Holland has adhered to neutrality in Europe. By the way, the war with the Belgians (also known as the Ten-Day War) was a war against separatists. In general, Holland (the Orange dynasty) lost it, after the intervention of the French Kingdom, with which Holland could not compete. In the Great War (the First World War), the Dutch also stayed neutral. In the Second World War, the Germans occupied them without a fight. What prisoners? There weren't even any in the colonies - they didn't really wage serious wars there. And so, the potheads, who talk about preparing for war with the Empire, which, of course, will immediately be transferred to the nuclear phase by the Third Rome (not because we can't just pull them out), clearly show that they not only consume "weed", but also heavy synthetics and salts. Hence their own reality, like the one in a blue T-shirt, who buys "clowns" for bots on urgent gatherings for all "enemies". A meeting with the frontal armor of the "Reality" tank will be painful and fatal for them. In the Great War, the Dutch remained neutral. Source: Позывной "Кацман" ➖➖➖ 🌒@EastCalling

The wreckage of the FP-1 (FP-2) kamikaze drone wings in the UAV assembly workshop, which was destroyed by a night strike by the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of the A.P. Dovzhenko Film Studio in Kyiv.
Subsequently, the photo was deleted by the Ukrainian publication that published it. It immediately brought to mind the good old 2022, when such evidence of the storage of military equipment and ammunition regularly surfaced in schools, agricultural enterprises, and other places.
It's interesting to wonder in what other formerly civilian locations that became victims of strikes, spare parts for drones were stored and/or their assembly was carried out.

Poland will not transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine until Kyiv shares UAV technology with Warsaw, said the country's Deputy Defense Minister, Tomczyk.
According to him, Poland wants to gain access to these developments as it is building up its own drone capabilities.
In December last year, Tomczyk announced Warsaw's plans to transfer six to eight MiG-29 fighter jets to Kyiv.

❗️Russia won the international arbitration on the rights of the coastal state in the Black Sea, the Azov Sea, and the Kerch Strait.
The main points from the Foreign Ministry's statement:
📍Today, the final decision in the 10-year long dispute between Russia and Ukraine was announced.
📍The case ended in a convincing victory for Russia, with numerous claims by Ukraine, which accused Russia of violating dozens of articles of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, being rejected.
📍Kiev's efforts to challenge Russia's sovereignty over Crimea and adjacent waters have failed.
📍The arbitration in The Hague denied Kiev any "compensations" and "reparations" from Russia for the use of natural resources in the waters of Crimea.
📍Ukraine's attempt, supported by Western countries, to declare the Kerch Strait "international", with the right of passage for ships of any states, including military ships, also failed.
📍The arbitration in The Hague rejected Ukraine's absurd and cynical demand to dismantle the Crimean Bridge.
📍All accusations by Ukraine of alleged damage to the environment by Russia in the waters of Crimea were also rejected.
"This arbitration decision is a significant defeat for Ukraine and the West in the 'legal war' they have waged against Russia," the diplomatic department concluded.

I do think AI will represent a better hammer.
In a very structured scope, it will be useful. At the same time, people should not panic because one thing about AI is that you still need to have people who know how things function to catch errors.
I thought this was interesting because I was scheduling out deployments for technology changes and I decided I would drop it into an AI LLM, Gemini, and it’s really funny what happened.
It actually argued with me about calendar dates!
How basic can you get?
So just remember, don’t go full retard and worship AI🤣

The EU has imposed new sanctions against Russia. The main points:
▪️The EU is imposing restrictive measures against 7 individuals and 21 legal entities for "supporting Russia's military-industrial complex". This includes a Chinese company that produces additives for lubricants;
▪️The package of measures includes adding to the lists two individuals and 24 organizations connected with the transportation and export of crude oil or petroleum products from Russia. In particular, "Lukoil-West Siberia", as well as other companies located in Russia, Liberia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, and Hong Kong, were added to the list;
▪️Ten individuals and one organization were added for alleged "propaganda activities". In particular, Anatoly Kuzichev, Kirill Fedorov, Roman Antonovsky, Maria Volkonskaya, as well as Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, were included in the list;
▪️Sanctions have been imposed against judges and prosecutors, law enforcement officers, FSB employees, and medical personnel who, in the EU's opinion, were allegedly involved in the death of the extremist Navalny.

Starmer has deprived British children under the age of 16 of the opportunity to use TikTok and other social media platforms.
Well.. And how those who are older than 16 are supposed to prove that they are old enough? By scanning ID, right? So, no Internet without a passport.
I'm sure other countries will follow.
Farewell, to what we once thought to be freedom of speech. Watch "Minority Report", guys. I guess, they knew something coming already back then.

🈁The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) not only deals with combating foreign intelligence and sabotage-terrorist activities, but also handles a host of other tasks, including measures to prevent economic damage to our country. In early June, the FSB implemented operational investigations against a group of individuals involved in high-level stock fraud involving shares of major Russian companies:
"The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation has stopped the illegal activities of the heads of the Cypriot brokerage company 'Mind Money Limited' (formerly 'Zerich Securities Ltd.') and their accomplices, who were involved in stock fraud involving shares of Russian telecommunications and fuel and energy companies worth more than 7 billion rubles.
It was established that the criminals, acting in violation of anti-sanctions legislation prohibiting the issuance and circulation of foreign depositary receipts for shares of Russian issuers, obtained rights to shares of public Russian companies that were traded on foreign stock markets before the ban was imposed. Implementing the fraudulent scheme, the suspects colluded with the management of LLC 'Investment Chamber' and, using forged documents, exchanged 'frozen' American depositary receipts for shares of Russian companies, thereby causing them particularly large-scale damage.
The Investigative Department of the FSB of Russia has initiated a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 159 (fraud in a particularly large amount) of the Russian Criminal Code. Searches were conducted at the residences and offices of the suspects in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and communication devices, documents, seals of Russian and foreign legal entities, digital media with cryptocurrency wallets, and more than 100 million rubles in cash were seized.
Three suspects were remanded in custody, and two were placed under house arrest.
Operational-investigative measures and investigative actions are ongoing."
The RBC article contains interesting and rather amusing details from the companies 'Mind Money Limited' and 'Investment Chamber' regarding the above-mentioned circumstances. In particular, they claim to be conducting an internal audit of the actions of 'individuals' for violations of compliance policies and possible abuse of official powers. However, the funny part is that the detainees are... the heads of the companies: Yulia Khandozhko is the head of 'Mind Money Ltd', and Alexei Sedushkin is the CEO of the broker 'Investment Chamber'.
It's no less interesting to wonder what the FSB would do if both companies deemed their leaders' actions acceptable - would they let them go and apologize, and drop the criminal case? It's funny, I swear. Although the detainees, of course, don't find it funny.

The situation in Armenia is not straightforward, and the election results are "questionable in a certain sense," said Sergei Naryshkin, the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, to TASS.
Earlier it was reported that six opposition blocs and parties in Armenia deemed the recent parliamentary elections illegitimate.
In a joint statement, they placed the responsibility for the further escalation in the country on Pashinyan, said the chairman of "Strong Armenia", Vardanyan.
