The last couple of years I've been watching a good friend of mine get stalked and harassed by a small group of people who once called them a friend and claim to be politically aligned with mutual interests.
This has gone well above and beyond simple hatred/dislike and right into psycho territory, including doxxing and mocking their family members both living and deceased as well as spreading completely fabricated accusations based on loose former associations.
I want this to be clear: I've never known this person to be anything but a good and loyal friend to me and engaged in honest business dealings. I don't care how cringe someone was years ago. It doesn't matter. People grow.
I can not say the same of the people engaging in this harassment, doxxing, and stalking campaign. Among them is someone caught red-handed stealing the original art of others to print on poor quality shirts and someone who left me hanging on a commission job they allowed me to complete before eventually canceling. So...
I want it to be clear, if you are an individual engaging in this, we are not friends. You clearly either have too much time on your hands or your children are paying for your obsession with the time and mental energy you owe to them.
And if ever you find yourself with the target on your back, I hope it forces you into some self awareness. With friends like these, who needs enemies?
