📍An exaggerated immune response to a normally harmless substance (allergen). 📍استجابة مفرطة وغير طبيعية من الجهاز المناعي تجاه مواد عادةً ما تكون غير ضارة (تسمى المثيرات أو Allergens).

💉 Pathophysiology (الآلية المرضية)

⭐Sensitization (التحسيس): First exposure to allergen \rightarrow Immune system produces IgE antibodies. ⭐Re-exposure (إعادة التعرض): Allergen binds to IgE on Mast Cells. ⭐Degranulation (إطلاق المواد): Mast cells release Histamine and inflammatory mediators, causing the allergic reaction.

💉 Causes / Allergens (الأسباب والمثيرات)

⭐Aeroallergens (مثيرات تنفسية): Pollen (حبوب اللقاح), Dust mites (غبار المنزل), Pet dander (وبر الحيوانات). ⭐Foods (أطعمة): Nuts (المكسرات), Milk (الحليب), Eggs (البيض), Seafood (المأكولات البحرية). ⭐Medications (أدوية): Penicillin (البنسلين), NSAIDs (مسكنات الألم). ⭐Others (أخرى): Insect stings (لدغات الحشرات), Latex (المطاط الطبيعي).
