Salatul Duha | The Forenoon Prayer
One of the optional prayers is Salatul Duha.
It is a Sunnah Muâakkadah (supererogatory). Abu Dharr Radhiallahu âanhu reported:
The Prophet (sallallÄhualayhi wasallam) said,
âIn the morning, charity is due on every joint of the body of every one of you. Every utterance of Allahâs Glorification (i.e., saying Subhan Allah) is an act of charity, every utterance of His Praise (i.e., saying Al-hamdu lillah) is an act of charity, every utterance of declaration of His Greatness (i.e., saying La ilaha ill Allah) is an act of charity, and every utterance of declaration of His Power (i.e. saying Allah Akbar); and enjoining Maruf (good) is an act of charity, and forbidding Munkar (evil) is an act of charity, and two Rakats of Doha Prayers which one performs in the Forenoon is equal to all this (in reward).â [Muslim 720]
Its time
The time of Duha prayer is from the time when the sun has risen to a certain height, until just before the time for Zuhr prayer. Shaykh Ibn âUthaymeen defined it as being from a quarter of an hour after the sun has risen until ten minutes before Zuhr prayer.

So all of this period is the time for Duha prayer.
It is better to pray it after the sunâs heat has become intense, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
âIt is preferable to offer Duha prayer when the sunâs heat has become so intense that even the young of the camels feel it.â

The scholars defined this as being when one quarter of the day has passed, i.e., halfway between sunrise and Zuhr prayer.

Abu Huraira Radhiallahu âanhu said : â
My Khalil (friend) (the Prophet Shalallahu âalaihi wa Salam) advised me to observe three things and I shall not leave them till I die:
1. âTo observe Saum (fasting) three days every (lunar) month;
2.â To offer the Duha prayer;
3. To offer Witr prayer before sleeping.â (Sahih al-Bukhari 1981)

''THE DISTANCE BETWEEN EARTH AND HEAVEN IS 500 YEARS...''!
It is narrated from Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib ع؜٠اŮŮŮ ŘšŮŮ that Allaah's Messenger  said:
"Do you know how much the distance between earth and heaven is?" We said, "Allaah and His Messenger know better." Then he () said, "The distance between them is 500 years, and the distance between one heaven to the next is 500 years, and the dimension of each heaven will take 500 years to travel, and there is a sea between the seventh heaven and the Throne which has between its lowest and highest ends the distance like that between the heavens and the earth (i.e. 500 years). And Allaah the Most Exalted is above that and nothing is secret from Him of the deeds of Bani Adam (humankind)." [Reported by Abu Dawud and others.]

Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said:
One day, I was riding behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) when he said :
"O boy! I will instruct you in some matters.
Be watchful of Allah (Commandments of Allah), He will preserve you.
Safeguard His Rights, He will be ever with you.
*If you beg, beg of Him Alone; and if you need assistance, supplicate to Allah Alone for help.*
And remember that if all the people gather to benefit you, they will not be able to benefit you except that which Allah had foreordained (for you);
and if all of them gather to do harm to you, they will not be able to afflict you with anything other than that which Allah had pre-destined against you. The pens had been lifted and the ink had dried up".
