Let's talk about how to improve your listening: *Listen as much as possible (the formula of improvement) ~For starters, I would recommend listen to podcasts and news in order to get your ears adapted to English speech. There are tons of channels on YouTube which exclusively upload videos about news or just interesting things. Some recommendations: •BBC 6 minute English(British accent for starters and useful for vocabulary) •BBC news •ABC news •NBC news(American accent) •TED talks(variety of topics and good for worldview) •TED ED(science-related topics) How to listen effectively: 1️⃣Just listen to the podcast or watch the video for the first time without anything,like dictionary and taking notes etc. 2️⃣Watch the video with subtitles or listen to the podcast with the transcript once again and learn the new words but not specific terms( such as medical terms and etc). 3️⃣Without subtitles watch or listen again to revise the vocab and check how much you understand now 4️⃣Speed listening: watch the video with 1.5x or higher if you are too confident😁. This helps you to understand fast speeches if you do this constantly! Important to mention: Everything seems hard when you just start so just be patient and keep listening because even your native language was hard to master some time ago! Source
