I mostly agree with Icke, but ofc I disagree with him as to the identity of the “aliens” as being non-human. But he generally “get’s it” and is spot on.

To think this dude made a movie like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - where an Operation Paperclipped Nazi is trying to get his hands on an time travel device Or Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, where the Nazi’s are trying to get this Crystal Skull - which is actually an Alien Skull that belongs to the ancient Alien Gods of Meso-America. The script writer of Disclosure Day wrote both of those movies, and obviously Spielberg was highly involved with both. But no, we aren’t even gonna touch on that. No war of the worlds, not even his first movie - Firelight - that he made when he was 17, about how the aliens abduct us and take us off world to a human zoo. It’s just cutesy ET phone home with extra steps.

The whole thing is very laughable and immature

The movie presents the nuns as the most psychologically ready to handle disclosure people there are - oh yea, duh obviously God made aliens - and obviously the aliens are just a higher empathy species than humans, Gods creatures who are going to teach us to love each other

It would be one thing if this actually had nothing to do with real disclosure. I could live with that. But give us something with meat on it. Don't give us this absolute fucking zero-calorie nothingburger where the government is scared to disclose peaceful, friendly alienothings because reasons. From what it sounds like the nuns don't even give a shit, which is actually true to real life Catholic teaching, but I would rather a misrepresented Catholic Church in this film than literally and absolutely nothing

I agree, you know - I think we all let our optimism get the best of us. I thought that at the end of the movie, they’d roll newly disclosed actual videos of various things they alleged in the movie - and that this would be an excellent way to contextualize and frame the disclosure of some of the more hardcore stuff. And yea, nothing like that at all. Spielberg took us for a ride, it was piss poor.
