A brief history of our evolution!
Primate evolution starts after the Mesozoic Era
Cretaceous = wiping out of dinosaurs due to a meteorite strike
Cretaceous-Paleocene transition = increasing angiosperms and flowers
Eocene = This where the adapids and omomyids arose from which the lineage of lemurs and tarsiers arose respectively.
Oligocene = Building of Himalayas starts and the two groups from the fayum fossils are found called as the paleopithecids and propliopithecid arose.
Subsequently paleopithecids gave rise to the lineage of new world monkeys which “island hopped” to South America and propliopithecid gave rise to lineage of old world monkey and apes
Miocene = aridity in Africa forced the evolution of apes without a tail
And subsequently,
