UPDATE: Telegram t.me links continue to open normally in iOS browsers, while the issue remains limited to some platforms and networks.

🇹🇬JUST IN: Telegram’s t.me Domain Faces Global DNS Disruption
Telegram’s t.me short-link domain has stopped resolving in web browsers worldwide after receiving a serverHold status at the .ME domain registry level. As a result, links to Telegram channels, groups, posts, and profiles using the t.me format may fail to open in browsers.
According to early reports, the issue appears to stem from the .ME registry, which manages Montenegro’s country-code domain, rather than Telegram itself. The Telegram app continues to function normally, and t.me links may still open from within the app. Telegram has not yet issued an official statement on the disruption.

🇹🇬BREAKING: Meta Faces Massive Child Safety Lawsuit
Meta could face up to $1.4 trillion in penalties as California, Colorado, Kentucky, and New Jersey pursue legal action alleging that the company knowingly designed its platforms to be addictive to young users and misled the public about their safety.
The lawsuit follows a recent jury verdict recognizing the harmful effects of social media addiction, potentially paving the way for stricter regulations and enhanced protections for minors across the industry. Other major platforms, including YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok, are facing similar legal challenges.

🇹🇬UPDATE : WhatsApp Tests New Green Dot Online Indicator
WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that replaces the traditional “Online” text with a green dot indicator, making it easier to see when a contact is currently active. The feature has been spotted in the latest beta versions for both Android and iOS.
The green dot currently appears only in the Chat Info screen, helping users quickly check whether someone is available before starting a conversation. WhatsApp is also expected to provide privacy controls, allowing users to disable the indicator if they prefer not to share their online status.
Alongside this update, Meta continues expanding its ecosystem with new creator tools, while Instagram is testing additional algorithm controls, YouTube is introducing new music options for carousels, and the Edits app is adding automatic bilingual captions.

🇹🇬 BREAKING: Three Tankers Attacked in Strait of Hormuz Within 24 Hours
Tensions in the Middle East have escalated after three commercial oil tankers were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz within the last 24 hours, despite ongoing diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran.
According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), the latest tanker was struck by an unidentified projectile, causing structural damage. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported. The incident follows another reported attack on a Qatari LNG carrier, raising fresh concerns over the safety of one of the world’s most critical energy shipping routes.
The Strait of Hormuz handles a significant portion of global oil and gas exports, and repeated attacks could impact energy markets, shipping security, and international trade if tensions continue to rise.

Repost from Control Frauds
🇸🇻 UPDATE
We've made a small change to how accepted appeals will be handled.
From now on, if your report appeal is accepted, the report will no longer be deleted from the channel. Instead, only the proofs attached to that report will be removed, while the report itself will remain visible.
This change helps us keep a transparent record of all reports while removing any evidence that is no longer valid after an appeal has been accepted.
See how it will look after a successful appeal.

🇹🇬UPDATE: YouTube updates reaction options for Shorts
YouTube is updating its Shorts playback UI by removing the thumbs up and thumbs down icons and switching to a heart icon instead.
So now, if a viewer likes a video, they can tap the heart icon in-stream, and if they don’t like it, they can go into their menu options and select from YouTube’s “Not Interested".
However, this also means a change in data for creators, with Shorts now losing the dislike data. YouTube said creators will still have access to historical dislike data for Shorts in YouTube Studio, but this count will stop updating for Shorts at the end of June.

⚠️ BREAKING: WhatsApp Introduces @/Usernames
WhatsApp is rolling out its long-awaited @/username feature, allowing users to connect without sharing their phone numbers. The new system gives every user the option to create a unique username that can be used to start conversations while adding an extra layer of privacy.
Phone numbers will still be required to create and secure WhatsApp accounts, but usernames will make it easier to connect with new people, businesses, and communities without revealing personal contact details. The feature is expected to roll out gradually to users worldwide over the coming months.

The temporary ban on Telegram in India has officially ended and the app has started to return to the Google Play Store, with services gradually being restored. The block was put in place to prevent exam paper leaks during the NEET-UG re-examinations. While internet service providers are lifting the block, full access may take time depending on your network.
As part of the government order, Telegram's message-editing feature will remain blocked for previously posted messages until June 30.
