Describe a skill that you learned as a teenager. - I would like to start by reminding you that I'm currently 17, which I think is the point in life where you really start thinking about your future career, future goals and generally your future ambitions for the next stage of life. And for this reason, there are tons of new skills that you can pick up that may end up being really useful for you as a person. So, as an ordinary 17-year-old, over the past couple years I have been deeply exploring my interests and passions to see what skills most comfortably fit my natural abilities. And the skill I would like to tell you about that I learned is ice skating. Now, you are probably familiar with what it is, but I'd like to tell you more than you most likely know to give you a more vivid picture of how I learned the skill. So, ice skating itself can be actually categorised into three groups. Figure-skating, hockey and freestyle. Everything else that's not hockey and not figure-skating is called freestyle skating, which is also understandable simply from the name itself - 'freestyle'. So, when I turned 15, I realised I really enjoyed this type of sport from my casual visits to the local ice rink in my city and I particularly liked how I constantly had to move my feet in very specific patterns to keep the balance on the ice. I remember in the very beginning, I would struggle so much that I would fall down literally from the second of stepping on the ice with my ice skates. But as the saying goes, "practice makes perfect". So, over the course of these 2 year ever since, I practiced non-stop and always felt happy deep inside for learning something new, some kind of a new element, some sort of novelty that would make my way of skating look and feel better. And although I don't really consider myself a professional, I do think I am already far better now than when I started two years ago. And If you asked about my future plans for freestyle ice skating, I think I would say I I'll not give it up, well at least it feels like I never or will never be able to give it up, because I have to admit this is actually the very first skill in my entire 17 years that I learned with particular joy deep down my heart. So, yeah.

📚 Effective Strategies for Learning New Words 🤓. I know you have problems with learning new words. Here are some effective strategies to help you learn like a pro: • Context is Key: Instead of memorizing isolated words like most people suggest, learn them in context. You can first search the meaning of a new word in the dictionary, then read articles, books, or watch movies in English to see how it's used naturally. • Word Maps: Create word maps or mind maps to visually organize related words and their meanings. This can help you see connections between words and remember them more effectively. • Practice, Practice, Practice: Use the new words you learn in your speaking and writing practice. The more you use them, the more likely they are to stick in your memory. • Word Association: Connect new words to words you already know or create associations with images or experiences. This can make it easier to recall them later. • Use Technology: Take advantage of language learning apps and websites that offer vocabulary-building exercises, games, and quizzes. You can ask ChatGPT to explain and give you examples with new words. • Read Widely: Expose yourself to a variety of topics and genres to encounter a diverse range of vocabulary. Challenge yourself with materials slightly above your current level to continuously expand your knowledge. Remember that any these techniques can and cannot work for you. Try everything to see which one suits you best. The real progress comes from acting. So, don't just save this post somewhere in your private groups, but put it in use. @mirqobilstyle 🧑‍💻❄️
