Archival footage of the landing of special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine from the board of the Mi-8 helicopter on Zmeiny Island on May 7, 2022. Recall that in those days a big battle unfolded for a small island, which was preceded by several attacks by the Bayraktar TB2 UAV on Russian landing craft and air defense systems. Despite a successful surprise landing, the enemy special forces were unable to succeed in capturing Zmeinoye by the "symbolic" date of May 9 and were forced to retreat, having suffered significant losses.

Archival footage Ukrainian sources are publishing a video of what is allegedly an attempt by Ukrainian special forces to storm the island of Serpents on May 7 in order to plant a flag there. It is hard to believe that the same events are depicted on the footage, since the landing of the Ukrainian special forces was accompanied by intense shooting and then ended with heavy losses for them, followed by a hasty withdrawal from the island. The enemy could not even take some of the bodies of their dead.
