Former FBI Director James Comey charged 💥 The Justice Department has charged James Comey On October 5, 2026, prosecutors filed a sealed two-count criminal information (not a grand-jury indictment) in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia (Case 1:26-cr-00229-TNM). The case was unsealed on October 26. Exact charges: Transmission of national defense information — 18 U.S.C. § 793(d) Conspiracy to transmit national defense information — 18 U.S.C. §§ 793(d) & (g) Prosecutors allege that on or about October 5, 2016, while serving as FBI Director, Comey knowingly and willfully caused national defense information to be transmitted to a person not entitled to receive it. Specifically, they claim he directed (through one or more co-conspirators) the disclosure of that information to a reporter for a national news outlet. The filing is tied to events surrounding an October 2016 New York Times article. DOJ says the information was filed as a “waiverless criminal information” to toll the 10-year statute of limitations while it continues to seek a grand-jury indictment. This is separate from his still-pending North Carolina case involving the “86 47” social-media post.

Trump purged the EAC in July, just days after Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that he had the authority to unilaterally fire EAC commissioners, and all four seats still remain vacant. Trump purged the heads of the agency and never appointed anyone to replace them. The EAC is effectively in a state of limbo, and Trump said he’s allowed to leave the seats vacant, and that the agency will be totally aligned with their election priorities. Since then, Trump has signed EO’s and taken measures to combat illegals registering for mail-in ballots, cleaning up voter rolls, prioritized DOJ maintenance and non-citizen voting laws, and more. The DOJ have also been demanding and suing for unredacted voter registration lists, and have been instructed to increase enforcement of non-citizen voting. The DOJ have it clear they are no longer allowing voter fraud to slide. Trump has been doing everything he can to secure the election without the help of the Senate GOP and the SAVE America Act. Will it be enough? We shall see, but based on how the Dems are behaving, I think Trump has done enough, and I think both sides know it.
