I noticed many of us say “Ramadhan Kareem” but a small reminder that It is better to say “Ramadhan Mubarak.” Mubarak means blessed and Ramadhan is a month filled with barakah from Allah. As for Kareem, it means generous and ultimate generosity belongs to Allah alone. He is Al-Kareem. So it is always better to say Ramadhan Mubarak, it means that we are making a du‘a for one another that Allah places blessings in our fasting, our salah, our Qur’an, and our hearts this month. so yes! Ramadhan Mubarak to all of us 🤍

2nd night of Tarawih 🎀 Tonight, as the imam recited: “Inna Allaha ma‘a as-sabireen.” Indeed, Allah is with the patient. (2:153) And suddenly… it felt personal. With the mother who is silently struggling. With the sister healing from heartbreak. With the one fighting her own nafs. With the one trying to stay consistent in salah. Allah is with the patient. Not just watching. Not just testing. But with. Ya Allah, make us from the "sabireen" The ones who stay. The ones who trust. The ones who hold on even when it’s hard. If You are with us, we have everything we need. 🤍

🌙 Ramadhan allows us to show/feel how strong our soul is when we work/study/exercise/etc. in our daily lifes while fasting throughout the day, in other words, it tells us that we can work harder than we actually think subhana Allah! Also, for iftar, let us all try to control our temptations, and eat what’s enough, so that we still have the energy to pray our fardh prayers and insha Allah, the terawih and witr! and, it’s sunnah to start our iftar with dates/kurma :) Bismillah for our Hijrah 🤍

Allah says in Surah Al Hadid (57:20) that the life of this world is nothing but play, distraction, adornment, boasting & competition in wealth & children, fleeting, like rain that impresses, then dries and turns to dust. Fasting for 13 hours, only to feel full after 10 minutes, mirrors this reality perfectly. We anticipate, we endure hunger & thirst, we imagine satisfaction & yet the pleasure fades almost as soon as it arrives. What we waited all day for settles briefly, then disappears. Ramadan exposes the illusion gently but clearly, the dunya promises fullness but delivers emptiness just as fast. Through fasting, Allah trains our hearts to detach, to realise that if food cannot satisfy us for long, then neither will wealth, status, attention, or comfort. What truly nourishes is not what enters the stomach, but what settles in the heart, sincerity, patience, restraint & closeness to Him. The dunya fades quickly, only what is done for Allah remains.

Fasting in Ramaḍān Whilst Leaving Off the Prayers | Sh. Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn Raḥimahullāh [Q]: What is the ruling on one who fasts in Ramaḍān while leaving off the prayers? [A]: The one who fasts while leaving off the prayers, then his fasting will not benefit him. It will not be accepted from him and he has not removed the obligation [of fasting] from himself [i.e. his fasting will not be counted]. Rather, he is not requested to fast as long as he leaves off the prayers because the one who does not establish the prayers is like the Jew or Christian, what if a Jew or Christian fasted, will it be accepted from them? It will not! So we say to this individual: Repent to Allāh, establish the prayers and fast. Indeed Allāh accepts the repentance of the repentant one. ● [فتاوى في الصيام، الكتاب: ٤٨]

☔️ while we enjoy the breeze from the wind, let’s not forget to recite the du’a when it is raining! (+ especially during this blessed month of Ramadan ✨) du’a when 🌧️: اللّهُمَّ صَيِّـباً نافِـعاً Allahumma shoyibban nafi’a O Allah, make it a beneficial rain! Sahih Bukhari 1032.
