शून्य क्या है?
शून्य का अर्थ "कुछ नहीं" नहीं है।
शून्य वह अवस्था है जहाँ अहंकार समाप्त हो जाता है, लेकिन चेतना बनी रहती है।
भारतीय दर्शन में शून्य खालीपन नहीं, बल्कि अनंत संभावनाओं का गर्भ है।
जब मन इच्छाओं, भय, क्रोध, स्मृतियों और "मैं" की पकड़ से मुक्त हो जाता है, तब जो बचता है, वही शून्य है।
शून्य वह स्थान है
जहाँ विचार शांत हो जाते हैं।
जहाँ स्वयं को सिद्ध करने की आवश्यकता नहीं रहती।
जहाँ पाने या खोने का भय समाप्त हो जाता है।
जहाँ व्यक्ति केवल साक्षी बनकर जीवन को देखता है।
इसीलिए योग, ध्यान और सनातन परंपरा में शून्य को अत्यंत ऊँची आध्यात्मिक अवस्था माना गया है।
गणित में भी शून्य का यही रहस्य है।
स्वयं उसका कोई मान नहीं दिखता, पर उसी के कारण संख्याएँ अनंत तक विस्तार पा सकती हैं। शून्य ने गणना को नई दिशा दी; उसी प्रकार आध्यात्मिक शून्यता जीवन को नई गहराई देती है।
शिव और शून्य का संबंध भी गहरा है।
शिव को अक्सर उस असीम, निराकार चेतना का प्रतीक माना जाता है जिससे सृष्टि प्रकट होती है और जिसमें अंततः विलीन हो जाती है। इस दृष्टि से शून्य विनाश नहीं, बल्कि सृजन और विलय—दोनों का आधार है।

शून्य वह है जहाँ से सब कुछ प्रारंभ होता है।

शायद हर यात्रा का एक पड़ाव होता है।
और शायद मौन भी कभी-कभी शब्दों से अधिक प्रभावशाली होता है।
