| 4 | Building the Next Generation of Muslim Leaders: A Male Mentorship Initiative
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
We are pleased to announce the launch of the EDIA’s new Student Mentorship Program, designed to encourage, support and guide our middle school and high school boys as they navigate this very critical stage of their lives.
Today, our Muslims teenagers face real challenges — adhering to the religion, academic pressure, questions of identity, social media influences, peer pressure, and the search for accessible positive role models. This initiative aims to surround them with upright, practicing, positive, and dependable brothers who can offer guidance and hands on advice rooted in the sunnah paired with personal real life experiences aimed to encourage them in their studies, preparing for their future endeavors, and a steady example of what it means to grow into a responsible Muslim man.
What the program involves:
Regular one-on-one or small-group sessions between a mentor and student(s).
Conversations on faith, character (akhlaq), goal-setting, and everyday challenges.
Modeling the prophetic example of brotherhood, patience, and sincere counsel (naseeha).
A consistent, caring presence our boys can trust.
We are seeking volunteer mentors (this is not a paid position)— practicing brothers from known Salafi communities who are willing to give a small amount of their time (once every 2 months) to make a lasting difference. No special qualifications are required beyond sound belief and understanding of the religion, good character, reliability, positive contributions to their respective communities and a sincere desire to serve. Training and ongoing support will be provided, and all mentors will be vetted in line with EDIA safeguarding policies.
The Prophet ﷺ said, "The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy are like one body."
What you get when volunteering is the opportunity to be that supporting limb for the next generation and make a positive difference.

| 6 | We understand the importance of strong youth mentorship for boys in today’s challenging times. With this in mind, Ustadh Abu Afnan has designed a valuable summer opportunity focused on real-time learning, mentorship, character building, and skill development.
For the first time, we are pleased to introduce the Nurture Islaam Online Youth Summer Camp specially tailored for boys and young men within their age group. (Ages 16 - 20+)
This programme aims to create a beneficial environment where youth can learn, grow, and connect through meaningful study and discussion.
During the camp, Ustadh Abu Afnan will guide students through the beautiful classical text Al-Muqaddimah by Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani, the well-known scholar of North Africa.
The Muqadīma of Ibn Abī Zaid al Qayrawānī رحمه الله was written after it was requested from him to write a book of fiqh for young students in order for them to study and memorize.
So this serves as a great treatise for our youth this summer.
Alongside studying this important treatise, students will also develop essential research, discussion, and critical thinking skills through engaging activities and guided learning experiences.
Dates: 6th July to the 30th July 2026
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
7:30pm KSA / 12:30am EST / 5:30pm BST

In 2020, when COVID changed the way education was delivered around the world, EDIA opened its doors and welcomed families seeking a high-quality online learning experience rooted in Islamic values and academic excellence.
By the permission of Allah, EDIA has continued to grow and flourish over the years, serving students from around the world and building a vibrant learning community dedicated to nurturing Eemaan, character, knowledge, and skills.
Today, in 2026, we celebrate a truly special achievement as our first cohort of students graduates with an accredited U.S. High School Diploma.
It will be a joyful and emotional occasion as we reflect on the journey of these young graduates and witness them embark on the next stage of their lives. We are proud to see them leave EDIA with a strong Islamic foundation, noble character, and recognised academic qualifications.

The summer camp will include the study of the treatise Al-Qawaa’id al-Arba’ah (The Four Principles Regarding Shirk) by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, explained through the explanations of various scholars and simplified according to the students’ age and level.
In addition, the Ustadh Abu Afnan will cover the true meaning of the Shahaadah — Laa Ilaaha illallaah — to further strengthen the boys’ Aqeedah and understanding of Tawheed another small book written by Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhaab
Students will also develop essential study and research skills through:
Digital mind maps for the books studied
Learning how to create mind maps to organise and conceptualise ideas
Simplified explanations from multiple scholars Research tips and interactive activities designed for children and young adults

Our children are exploring far more than just tafseer lessons. Alhamdulillaah at the Nurture islaam Tafseer for Kids Course. They are exploring history, geography, archaeology and much more.
As we studied the pre-Islamic marketplaces, students learned why these places were so important in Arabia, what happened in those marketplaces, and why the Prophet ﷺ chose these busy gathering places to call people to Islaam. They were amazed to discover how trade, travel, poetry, and public gatherings all played a role in spreading messages and ideas.
The children were especially astonished to learn about the reaction of the Prophet’s ﷺ own uncle, Abu Lahab, and how these events connect directly to Soorah al-Masad.
