I just wanted to give a s/o to Melissa Dougherty for her video on this to help me learn.
The Top 5 New Age Teachings That Are In The Church Today:
(1). THE LAW OF ATTRACTION: it says that we can manifest our desires because we have the inner divinity to do just that. The core of this teaching is "you are God." Here's what it looks like:
'What you do to other people, you are also doing to yourself.'
It's a mirror. Whatever you ask the universe for, through your thoughts and feelings, you'll receive back based on if you really believe it. Scripture is used all the time to back up The Law Of Attraction.
(2). ONENESS: is a belief that everything in the universe is One. They believe that everything is connected. It's a state of being, of loving in the now. Here's what it looks like:
'It's returning to Oneness to discover the meaning of life. There is no judgement because everything is Spirit.'
Some Christians tend to adopt the idea that unity is the Gospel itself. We shouldn't allot such harmful teachings in the church to keep the peace. Peoples souls are on the line here.
(3). Religious Pluralism: this believes all the religions in the world are equally and tolerably acceptable( aka, Oprah Winfrey's ideology and view). They're all true and do lead to God they say. It's an all paths lead to God type of truth. This is what it looks like:
'Jesus isn't the only way into heaven, quit being close-minded.'
Jesus is exclusive and makes exclusive claims of who He is.
(4). Universalism: the belief is all are saved no matter what their belief is. Here's two ways you can identify this: .
1. 'God is so loving and merciful that we'll have eventual entrance into heaven without wrath.' (God is all love and mercy and no wrath). 2. 'We are all children of God.' Not everyone is a child of God. We have to be adopted into His Kingdom. If we're already His sons and daughters, then why do we have to be adopted? And finally
(5). Mysticism: seeking a divine or spiritual experience (which is what Bethel Church and Bill Johnson pushes) or discovering some sort of hidden meaning about God or the universe. A lust after the supernatural is mysticism.

If God can save me, He can save anyone!
No matter what your sin amounts to, God's grace is INFINITELY GREATER than your sin. This is because God is love (1 Timothy 4:16). Love is not just something God does; love is what God is. God's love is greater than our sin. God's forgiving love overcomes and overwhelms our sin.
Hear me clear as a bell: however deep you may have gone in a life of sin, YOU ARE NOT TOO FAR GONE. Christ stands ready to forgive.

| 4 |  "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you” (1 Pet 5:7).
The Greek word for anxiety means “to pull apart” or “to move in opposite directions." It pulls us away from God. Our faith says “trust God” but our circumstances say “fix this!” That causes anxiety, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
We must cast every single burden,we have onto the broad shoulders of Jesus Christ.
Our burdens are like a fly resting on a jumbo jet liner. He can handle the stress…we cannot.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27)
The world sees peace differently than believers do. Their peace may come and go in life, but for those who have trusted in Christ, peace endures the battles!
They know their troubles are no match for the Creator of all things.
The Apostle Paul says that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mind.

Two days you should never worry about are-Yesterday and Tomorrow.
You can’t live in the past,
You can’t live in the future,
You can only live today!
Why should you only live one day at a time🤔
First- when you worry about tomorrow’s problems, you miss the blessings of today.
Second- you cannot solve tomorrow’s problems with today’s power.
When tomorrow arrives, God will give you the power-perspective-grace and wisdom you need.
The Bible does not say, “Give us this day our ‘Weekly’ bread.”
It says in Matthew 6:11,
“Give us this day our daily bread”
God wants you to depend on him one day at a time. He will provide everything you need.
You will lack nothing!
It’s okay to plan for tomorrow- just don’t borrow trouble from tomorrow.
Trust God for each day as it comes!

One day George Adam Smith, an Englishman who traveled extensively in the Middle East, came across a sheepfold and said to the shepherd...
"That is where they go at night?"
"Yes," said the shepherd, "and when they are in there, they are perfectly safe."
"But there is no door," said the Englishman.
"I am the door," replied the shepherd.
Sir George looked at him and asked, "What do you mean by the door?"
The shepherd answered, "When the light has gone out, and all the sheep are inside, I lie in that open space, and no sheep ever goes out but across my body, and no wolf comes in unless he crosses my body; I am the door."
When Jesus said he is the door of the sheep, he meant that the fold has only one entrance; life has one source; spiritual nourishment is obtained one way; heaven can be entered through one entrance.
And the single means of access to all that is life is Jesus. | 70 |

To know the will of God is the highest of all wisdom. Living in the center of God’s will rules out all falseness of religion & puts the stamp of true sincerity upon our service to God. You can be miserable w much, if you are out of His will; but you can have peace in your heart w little, if you are in the will of God. You can be wretched w wealth & fame, out of His will; but you can have joy in obscurity, if you are in the will of God. You can have agony in good health, out of His will; but you can be happy in the midst of suffering, if you are in God’s will. You can be miserable & defeated in the midst of acclaim, if you are out of His will; but you can be calm & at peace in the midst of persecution, as long as you are in the will of God. The Bible reveals that God has a plan for every life, & that if we live in constant fellowship w Him, He will direct & lead us in the fulfillment of this plan. | 76 |
| 9 |  When we’re suffering, grieving, dealing with persecution or injustice, we can have confidence in these two truths:
1. God knows us intimately.
2. God cares for us deeply.
Two passages that beautifully express this truth:
“You number my wanderings;
Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book?” Psalm 56:8 NKJV
“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered..”
Matthew 10:29-31 KJV
Knowing that our Lord knows us so well and cares about us so tenderly, our natural response is found in 1 Peter 5:7:
“Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.”

| 10 |  The enemy has a plan to deceive & destroy humanity.
God’s plan is to save & redeem humanity.
Then enemy is working hard to advance evil, but their plans will ultimately be defeated. God has already won; Jesus Christ went to the cross, died, &rose again in victory. Everyone who has trusted Christ for the forgiveness of their sins cannot lose...bc God has already won.
Although evil will be defeated, Satan still fights to deceive & destroy as many as he can in the time he has left. Many are led astray by comfortable & convenient lies, & they miss the true purpose for which God created them. Pray with me that people would see their need for a Savior, reject the temporary comforts evil offers, & find true, eternal, abundant life in Christ.
Take hope: the battle rages around us, but God reigns over us. Continue to fight against evil...we cannot lose!

However, as a glass cannot be filled w milk if it is already filled w mud, we cannot be filled w the Spirit when we are already filled w sin, pride,or self-will. Before we can be filled to overflowing, we must be willing to empty ourselves of everything that would hinder the Spirit’s working in our lives. It is only when our hearts are filled w God that we can accomplish all He desires to do in &through us. His grace knows no limits for those whose hearts are wholly His (2 Chron 16:9). He desires to fill us w His Spirit until our cup runneth over.
That being said, I believe we are filled when we get saved, you can't get 'more filled', but living a sin life does hinder our fellowship w God so we need to repent daily & let Him keep our cup topped up w His goodness | 86 |
| 13 |  He received Himself in the fires of sorrow, fulfilling the purpose God had ordained for Him.
"What shall I say? Father, save Me from his hour? But for this purpose I come to this house. 'Father, Glorify Your Name'". John 12:27-28
As a Saint of God, my attitude toward sorrow &difficulty should not be to ask that they be prevented, but to ask God protect me so that I am remain what He created in me, in spite of all my fires of sorrow.
Sin, sorrow, &suffering are, and it is not for us to say God has made a a mistake in allowing them.
We realize His purpose in the midst of the fire of sorrow. | 87 |

Psalm 24:1-10
Have you sought and found the LORD?
Although the whole earth is the LORD'S and everything in it,
not everyone knows the ONE and TRUE LIVING GOD.
And, certainty, very few bother to seek HIM like the generation the Psalmist refers to.
Isaiah 55:6-7 urges us to,
" Seek the LORD while HE may be found;
Call on HIM while HE is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts.
Let him turn to the LORD, and HE will have mercy on him..

GOD also promised in Jeremiah 29:13
that "You will seek ME and find ME when you seek ME with all your heart."
For all who have sought the LORD and found HIM,

| 19 |  Did you know that God wants all his saints to have a twoedged sword in their hand?
(Psalms 149:6) "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;"
What is this twoedged sword? It's the word of God.
(Hebrews 4:12) "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Why does God want his word in our hands?
(Psalms 149:7) "To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;"
He wants us to use his word to make just judgments against those that do wrong.
However, you should realize that there are 2 kinds of vengeance. There is one that is done with malice. This is the kind of vengeance you want to stay away from. It is a grave sin.
The other kind of vengeance is just and done out of love of justice. This is the type of vengeance we should be practicing. | 110 |

If you end up in a burning hell for all eternity, it won’t be because you have a tattoo, or a nose ring, or because you drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes, or because you cuss, or you spent time in prison. It won’t be because you didn’t do enough good deeds or belong to the right church. It won’t be because of that dumb thing you did or what someone else did to you.
It will be because you refused to receive Jesus Christ (God the Son) as your personal Savior. He already paid for all the stupid stuff you have done—and all the stupid stuff you are going to do—when He died FOR YOU on the cross and rose again. He offers salvation as a free gift, because let’s face it, if it were up to us to earn it, we wouldn’t have any chance. The gift of salvation is there for you to receive.
