🚨 Giving Palantir and staff from other firms unlimited access to identifiable patient data before it is pseudo-anonymised is completely and utterly unacceptable.
🤖 What happens if there is a serious supply-chain hack and databreach with one of these firms?

It reads like a parody, but it's not.
The wife of Piers Morgan is happy to have her face scanned every second of the day to help solve Britain's crimewave.
Do these people actually think before they type? Clearly not.

The image is fake but the concerns about such ID requirements in the future are real and understandable, especially in British society.
Such signage is not popping-up all over London nor represents our current situation.
Better framing from the original poster of this content would be to explain that this is a potential future that we would all like to avoid.

What media are not reporting on Blair's Lifespan Fund is that it would be connected to a Lifespan app on your mobile device, use centralised digital ID verification and become integrated with GOV.UK, HMRC and NHS digital records.
Isn't it time Tony Blair and his Institute 'must go'?

For our UK followers connected via X.
Some of you may know that @edthetechie
was battling small cell lung cancer (SCLC) for a period of time.
Ed sadly passed away in his home on 27th April surrounded by his parents and closest friends.
We're thinking of Ed's friends & family during this very difficult time.
God speed, Ed. You will be missed. ❤️✝️

An utter shambles.
We have Rory Collins of UK Biobank saying that the Alibaba listings didn't contain PII (Personal Identifiable Information) and the Technology Minister saying it 'could include' sensitive category data.
And this government wants a National Digital ID system?

🚨France Titres is the French government's main platform & official system for secure identity documents that suffered a very serious databreach confirmed April 15th.
🆔 18-19 million records exposed containing passport, National ID, and drivers license data.
🤖 Considering that France usually does better than the UK when it comes to data security, this particular breach is alarming and also because of another attack [not officially confirmed] on the same system in September 2025.
🫣 If or when this type of breach happens in the UK, we are cooked.

This is a fine example of sleight of hand and deliberate, negative framing of populism as a pejorative so that the govt can protect you from shouty people on particular issues.
In reality, headlines like these show just how out of touch the govt is with society.
But Jones and the govt go further with their pejoratives, e.g. conspiracy theorists.
This is the same Labour who wholly backed authoritarian COVID legislation and also during a time when the former Conservative govt deployed the Counter Disinformation Unit (CDU) to effectively spy on the public.
So where is the conspiracy theory regarding surveillance then?

🆔 Although ID Austria and GOV.UK One Login differ in areas of public delivery, the UK system would still be ripe for similar attacks by bad actors, such as phishing emails and SMS to try and hijack account access.
🤖 What is potentially coming down the pipeline for the UK public is worrying indeed.

🆔 Forget Apple's UK age assurance nonsense.
💡 Get a Google Pixel device [7 series or higher] and use GrapheneOS
https://grapheneos.org
✅ No age assurance
✅ Privacy by default
✅ Deeper permissions environment
✅ Open source
✅ Regular security & OS updates
Motorola recently announced a partnership with GrapheneOS in the very near future.
The fight-back against governments scatter-gun approach of age-gating our lives has just begun.

🚨 BankID is Sweden's defacto National Digital ID based system used across 7,500 services, including government.
🤖 A severe data breach has been confirmed with hackers claiming they pulled source code, user data and other internal system data.
🇬🇧 A similar breach of any GOV.UK One Login system and its e-services would be considered catastrophic.
❌ BankID's example alone demonstrates why the UK should not be building this type of system nor compelling the public to centralise some of their most sensitive data on it.

👁 HMRC quietly bought phone-tracking tech that can mimic cell towers & identify nearby devices - a capability usually linked to law enforcement.
🤖 The purchase, from surveillance vendor Cellxion, reportedly began in 2021 but stayed undisclosed for years.

🆔 This is the same Companies House that mandated use of GOV.UK's One Login since November 18th 2025 for directors and PSC's.
🤖 Ironically, One Login was supposed to reduce fraud but this 'glitch' has furthermore increased the risk of it.

Even though an estimated 20 minute outage, there still remains potential long term risks to customers.
A few simple screenshots of sensitive financial data could be used in:
Financial profiling
Targeted scams
Account recovery attacks
Data resale
And this is entirely the fault of the banks. They reap what they sow.
For over 10 years they have been increasingly pushing customers towards digital while shutting physical branches which creates even greater security risks online.

🆔 With the 2029 implementation date likely to be extended, the govt should either:
1️⃣ Scrap this scheme and concentrate on strengthening current systems including cybersecurity
2️⃣ A complete redesign with privacy and security by default, rolled-back legislation and entirely optional for all Britons.

🆔 A reminder that this was also the minister acting as the Cabinet Office lead on delivering the UK's National Digital ID programme.
❌ If this is the sort of calibre that the State puts front and centre with such a scheme, then it's high-time the public ultimately reject it.

🇬🇧 ON THIS DAY: 21 February 1952, the Health Minister, Harry Crookshank, announced the end of the National Registration Act (1939), meaning that UK citizens would no longer have to carry an ID card.
✊ The man whose quiet defiance led to that change was called Clarence “Harry” Willcock.
❌ The National Registration Act (1939) was later repealed in May of that year by the Churchill government.
ℹ️ You can learn more about what happened [below] with Willcock and his case that shifted the British mindset about the State and identity:

The bigger question is: how can the public support, let alone trust, a UK-wide national digital ID scheme on the basis that its lead minister is embroiled in controversy that bears all the hallmarks of insidious statecraft.

The other problem here is that Persona's privacy policy is very broad and murky.
Data holds could be 7, 30 days, three years or 'indefinite'.
Even if EU/UK-GDPR can be enforced on them as a processor, there's no guarantee that fragments/logs of biometric data could be stored in other servers under other countries jurisdiction.

🆔 GOV.UK One Login to be rolled out to new HMRC customers and in time, those who're already using the Government Gateway with an alphanumeric username & password.
ℹ️ Basically, if you've been using the Government Gateway for years to conduct your Self Assessment, the State and HMRC will soon want to take away that choice and push you to re-enroll using the One Login digital ID verification process which would also capture a facial biometric as well as other device identifiers.
✊ The State are drawing the net in fast. The fight continues.
