🚨France Titres is the French government's main platform & official system for secure identity documents that suffered a very serious databreach confirmed April 15th. 🆔 18-19 million records exposed containing passport, National ID, and drivers license data. 🤖 Considering that France usually does better than the UK when it comes to data security, this particular breach is alarming and also because of another attack [not officially confirmed] on the same system in September 2025. 🫣 If or when this type of breach happens in the UK, we are cooked.

This is a fine example of sleight of hand and deliberate, negative framing of populism as a pejorative so that the govt can protect you from shouty people on particular issues. In reality, headlines like these show just how out of touch the govt is with society. But Jones and the govt go further with their pejoratives, e.g. conspiracy theorists. This is the same Labour who wholly backed authoritarian COVID legislation and also during a time when the former Conservative govt deployed the Counter Disinformation Unit (CDU) to effectively spy on the public. So where is the conspiracy theory regarding surveillance then?
