The workshop is fully funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), New Delhi. Who can participate: The workshop will insure the participations of master’s students (4th Sem.), Ph.D. scholars and researchers from earth sciences backgrounds and other allied disciplines. The key objectives of the workshop are following: 1. To learn about the Basics of remote sensing and GIS and its applications. 2. To develop skill of interpretation of the visual and digital satellite data. 3. To learn to prepare various thematic maps useful in geomorphology, flood mapping, land use land cover mapping, mineral exploration and earth resource management etc. All faculty members are requested to share it with Master and Ph. D. students of related disciplines.
