| 4 |  ⚡️ Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation:
The Press Bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation (SVR) reports that, according to information received by the SVR, relevant ministries in one of NATO’s key member states are concerned over active research and development work under way in Germany with a potential nuclear-weapons focus.
Berlin’s Western allies point to the scale of Germany’s current work in such sensitive areas as special materials science, shock-wave physics, nuclear physics and neutron physics, involving 30 national universities.
These include the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Ruhr University Bochum, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, RWTH Aachen University and the Technical University of Berlin. Practical experiments are being conducted at six research reactors operating at these institutions.
NATO officials in Brussels point to Germany’s characteristic thoroughness and close interagency coordination in developing production methods and industrial capabilities for high-energy explosives and electronic detonation systems.
Key German defence companies are involved, including Rheinmetall AG, Diehl Stiftung GmbH, KNDS Group and Umarex GmbH.
These materials and systems are regularly tested at German army training grounds.
☢️ NATO military experts believe that Berlin could independently produce the required amount of fissile material within one to three months and construct a functioning nuclear explosive device within a year, without conducting a full-scale test.
This is causing particular concern given Germany’s militaristic past and Chancellor Merz’s plans to “once again make the German army the strongest in Europe”. It cannot be ruled out that officials in the Federal Chancellery are already considering the creation of Germany’s own “nuclear umbrella”.
👉 The current German authorities’ apparent intention to gain direct access to nuclear weapons is already causing grave concern in Europe, particularly against the backdrop of revanchist sentiment in Berlin.
Yet the outcome of Nazi Germany’s attempts to create a “wonder weapon” is well known.

🔹Ilham Aliyev confirmed that an unofficial meeting between former high-ranking officials from Germany and Russia took place in Baku from July 12th to 14th, without the participation of official representatives of the country, and was dedicated to possible ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
🔹According to Aliyev, the Azerbaijani side did not participate in the negotiations, but data on flights confirms that the meeting took place.
🔹The President of Azerbaijan stated that Baku can only welcome such contacts if their goal is to contribute to the cessation of hostilities between Russia and Ukraine.
🔹At the same time, Aliyev noted that he does not have information about the content of the negotiations, as representatives of Azerbaijan were not present at the meeting.
🔹German Chancellor Scholz, commenting on publications about the negotiations, stated that the German government was not involved in organizing the meeting and does not have information about its holding.

Yesterday I collected my dog tags. Tonight I'm boarding a train north to begin training with the Russian Marines.
From this point forward the channel will inevitably change. There will still be geopolitical analysis, but you'll also get firsthand insight into military life that very few Westerners will ever experience.
The timing couldn't be more significant, with strikes escalating and yet another round of selective outrage dominating Western headlines.
I don't know when my next update will be, but this channel isn't going anywhere. A new chapter starts now.

| 17 |  +2🇷🇺🫸🇺🇦 Nearly 1,900 drones were destroyed over the course of a week while heading towards Moscow, according to the capital’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin. He said that most Ukrainian drones are neutralised on the distant approaches to Moscow.
These figures are consistent with previously published estimates showing that Ukraine has sharply increased drone launches since the spring of 2026 and changed its approach to conducting strikes. From the beginning of the year through the end of June, more than 41,000 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russia, while last month alone set a record with more than 11,000 interceptions.
Whereas in previous years the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out strikes relatively infrequently and on a limited scale, in recent months the enemy has been conducting almost daily mass raids intended to exhaust and overwhelm the Russian air-defence system, sometimes across several directions simultaneously.
Not only the scale, but also the qualitative and strategic approach has changed. Ukraine has sharply increased the assembly and import of kamikaze drones, while their range and warhead weight have grown. Thanks to Starlink satellite internet, these drones can accurately strike targets in the new territories and, at times, even in border areas.
In addition, the enemy is constantly refining the tactics used by its strike assets. For example, it attempts to exploit terrain features and river valleys to minimise radar detection and avoid engagement by air-defence systems. Operational intelligence and confirmation footage of Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes are provided by a constellation of Western satellites.
These raids pursue two objectives at once: to strike targets that are especially vulnerable to drone warheads and where a hit would produce the greatest real-world and media impact.
This includes the morning strike on Wildberries logistics warehouses. Such facilities require only a couple of drones to penetrate out of the hundreds intercepted for them to burn to the ground, causing discontent among both sellers and customers, as well as substantial financial losses. It should therefore be expected that warehouses belonging to other similar companies may soon come under attack.
A similar situation applies when drones penetrate the defences around oil refineries or fuel depots. Equipment and storage facilities at such sites are extremely vulnerable even to small drone warheads, while fires involving thousands of tonnes of fuel are visible from space. This affects not only the reality on the ground, including shortages, but also public perceptions of the overall effectiveness of air defences. Here too, only a few UAVs need to get through to inflict damage.
With each passing day, this pressure from the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the domestic air-defence system continues to intensify. There are more drones, they are flying farther, and they are being controlled more effectively.
As a result, the enemy can now attack not only isolated, heavily defended facilities, but practically any accessible target across the European part of Russia. No conventional air-defence system can protect this entire territory with 100% effectiveness, especially as such systems were designed primarily to counter aircraft and missile raids against specific targets, rather than hundreds of cheap drones on a daily basis.
We therefore repeat once again: only an asymmetric response can counter this asymmetric threat. This means the mass deployment of interceptor drones, inexpensive anti-drone air-defence systems, and the integration of all these assets into a unified network.
We have repeatedly written before about why it is impossible to protect every facility in the country with conventional air-defence systems, as well as several interesting measures that could be implemented immediately to improve the situation.
