How to keep heritage Heritage is an important part of any country, family or even a single person. Through heritage, you can know who are, what history and obstacles your country or family has gone through. Keeping heritage can be done in several ways. Heritage can be either materialistic, like old houses or objects people used in the past which give us information about their life, or it can be found in the literature (stories, riddles, proverbs and poetry) that are handed from one generation to another. The importance of heritage lies in its ability to open our eyes to the past we didn’t live, and to compare it with our life now. It also gives a sense of belonging to a certain culture and group, since each society has his own heritage. Heritage can be preserved through continuous reformation to historical buildings (Dickson house and alQurain house are examples in Kuwait). This can be supported from the government of the country itself, which in return will help increasing the tourism in the country because it contains historical landmarks. Another way to keep heritage is through hading out the stories of ancestors to the young generation through books, family gatherings and movies if possible.
