It seems like a small thing but we added hotkeys now to Dverhgold for performing party member's actions as well as often used functions like auto-map, quest log, drinking potions and eating...speaking of, we now have a hunger system. Halflings always get hungry first, obviously.

A small announcement: Dverghold is coming along nicely but we have decided to delay the release by one week - it's not a huge delay but we feel like we just need this little extra time for just that extra final polish and tweaking, I hope you guys can forgive us... not much changes in the grand scheme of things but the game will not release on 22nd as originally planned but instead on July 29th. On the plus side, wishlists are going quite well, for some reason they seem to spike - today we already got 230! Not sure exactly what caused this but it seems it might be Steam's new Calendar system. Pretty amazing, if things keep going like this we'll soon have 12k wishlists :D For now, you can still wishlist the game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4216280/Dverghold/

Dverghold's UI used to be quite static but in the final phases of polish before Early Access release, we are working on making everything move and feel more responsive to make navigating the menus fun :) There are a few bits and pieces still in need of fixing and it's all very much work in progress but it already feels a lot nicer like this.

In Dverghold, all classes have unique combat actions which can be upgraded on a level-up (with some skilltree-branching, so you can a make choice every 3 level-ups). All upgrade variants combined make for 240 different actions but that is only in the initial Early Access version, where there's a level cap for characters at level 7. The final game will feature additional classes and more upgrades up to level 20, so a lot more than those 240. Yes, Dverghold is a classic dungeon crawler, but it's also quite a bit more than that. The original pitch for the game was "What if you take roster- and camp-management like in Darkest Dungeon but the dungeon delving part is a "Blobber" crawler like Eye of the Beholder?" Dverghold creates a genuinely new experience from those ingredients, by combining these elements we add depth to the parts that were kept simpler in the games we drew inspiration from: DD had proc-gen "disposable" dungeons for quick runs whereas we have one big handcrafted continuous dungeon with an unfolding story, tactical combat, puzzles etc., making that part of the game richer and more like a tradional RPG. The classic dungeon crawler formula gains a new layer, encounters have deeper consequences beyond moment-to-moment gameplay.
