Job Title: Accounts Executive Location: Chennai, Egmore Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Executive with specialized knowledge in import and export accounting to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our import and export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities: Import and Export Documentation: Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to import and export transactions, including invoices, bills of lading, customs declarations, and shipping documents. Customs Compliance: Stay up-to-date with international trade regulations, tariffs, and customs laws to ensure proper compliance. Collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate customs clearance and resolve any customs-related issues. Accounting and Financial Reporting: Record and reconcile financial transactions. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and address them promptly. Vendor and Supplier Relations: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to verify invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payment. Cost Analysis: Analyze import and export costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make recommendations to improve efficiency. Bank Transactions: Handle bank transactions related to import and export, including letter of credit, bank guarantees, and foreign currency exchange. Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing import and export-related tax returns. Ensure compliance with VAT, GST, and other tax regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an Accounts Executive or similar role, with a focus on import and export accounting. Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
