1. Article 19(1)(C) of the Indian Constitution guarantees all citizens the right to form associations or unions. This is a fundamental right that provides the constitutional basis for the formation and functioning of trade unions in India. 2. The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, provides a legal framework for the resolution of industrial disputes and includes provisions that protect the rights of workers to form and join trade unions. It facilitates collective bargaining and the peaceful resolution of conflicts between employers and employees. 3. Article 21 of the Indian Constitution guarantees the right to life and personal liberty. While it is a broad and fundamental right, it does not specifically address the right to unionize. Therefore, it does not directly protect the right to form or join trade unions. 4. The Trade Unions Act, 1926, provides for the registration of trade unions and defines their rights and liabilities. It legalizes the formation of trade unions and offers protections for their activities, ensuring that workers can organize and advocate for their interests.

Mt. Lebanon- Mt Tabor- Mt Ebal- Mt. Nrebo The Jordan River has its roots in Mount Hermon where it starts from the plains and then continues to the south via northern Israel to meet the Sea of Galilee. Jordan and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights border the river to the east, while Israel and the Israeli-occupied West Bank lie to its west. Both Jordan and the West Bank derive their names in relation to the river. The river holds major significance in Judaism and Christianity.

Statement 1 is necessary condition and 2 and 3 are sufficient conditions. Now option is (b) is not a valid conclusion as even when I do not do meditation, I can go to office. Similarly, options (c) and (d) cannot be drawn from this. Hence, correct answer is option (a).

Statement 1 is incorrect. The passage mentions that “Globally, compliance to environmental and social norms pose a much bigger concern than the ones related to governance”, and it clearly reflects that environmental and social norms compliance is a bigger concern than governance. Therefore, this option cannot be the assumption in the given passage. Statement 2 is incorrect. According to the passage, “Environmental and social norms are relatively easy to comply with for Indian companies. Besides, there is no major negative ramifications for noncompliance." It reflects the ramification of non-compliance in India and not in developed countries. So, this assumption is also false.

Passage: Globally, compliance to environmental and social norms pose a much bigger concern than the ones related to governance. The impact of climate change and tariff wars on business, the need to have a purpose of business beyond profit as well as the future of employment in wake of automation and gig economy are the concerns grappling businesses, especially in the developed markets. Environmental and social norms are relatively easy to comply with for Indian companies. Besides, there is no major negative ramification for non-compliance. Governance, till recently, was not a concern. The increased disclosures under the companies act 2013 including regulations related to whistle blower mechanism have made it hard for malpractices to continue for long. Besides, investors now have a low tolerance for any lapse in corporate governance. Thanks to social media, their negative response is immediate and often amplified. Q. Based on the passage given above, the following assumptions have been made: 1. Environmental, social and governance compliance have equal importance in the development of a nation. 2. Strict ramifications exist in developed countries for non-compliance of environmental and social norms. Which of the above assumptions is/are valid?
