Not a release announcement, but I was playing around with AOSP 17 and found out that Split/Dual QS Implementation is usable now & almost complete in AOSP [1], there are some quirks with clock color on light mode, but it's not a huge blocker and can be fixed. The preference is gated behind aconfig flag, once enabled it can be found in Settings > Notifications > Notifications & Quick Settings. Google has also pushed the code for background blur for widget picker. [2] Both features can be enabled by picking following commits.
