🔴 GIFT NIFTY opened 12 points lower at 23,661 signalling that the Indian stock market is headed for a negative start today.
🔴 The S&P 500 and Nasdaq reached record highs, driven by Nvidia's surge, which made it the world's most valuable company with a $3.22 trillion market cap, surpassing Microsoft. Other chip stocks also rallied, pushing the Philadelphia SE Semiconductor index to a record high. The Dow showed minimal gains amid weaker U.S. retail sales data in pre-holiday trading.
🔴 The volatility index - India VIX advanced by 1.68% to the levels of 13.04 indicating increased volatility in the market.
