+2🚨 AFRIFORUM COMMUNITY SAFETY TEAM HELPS RESCUE HIJACKING VICTIMS
The @afriforum Noord van die berg Neighbourhood Watch in Pretoria played a key role in a successful operation that resulted in two hijacking victims being rescued and one suspect arrested in Pretoria.
The couple was hijacked in Centurion and held hostage while their vehicle was taken towards Soshanguve. After the vehicle was meticulously traced by Cartrack and SAPS, the pursuit led to the Pretoria North area.
AfriForum members responded alongside SAPS and other security partners after hearing the pursuit and subsequent exchange of gunfire. The coordinated response included AfriForum, SAPS Tshwane K9, Flying Squad, Pretoria North and Sinoville SAPS, Prosec, TRT K9 and other security units.
One suspect was arrested after attempting to hide in a roof. An unlicensed pistol was recovered.
The two victims were rescued after the vehicle was involved in an accident. Both sustained injuries and were transported to hospital in a stable condition.

🇿🇦🚔 Four robbers dressed as cops torture Limpopo farmer in horrific attack
Police are searching for four suspects who posed as officers and brutally tortured a farmer during a robbery.
According to a statement from the Limpopo South African Police Service (SAPS), the group attacked after waiting in ambush at the farmer’s home in Morebeng, Capricorn, on Thursday afternoon.
The robbers, dressed in police uniforms and reflective jackets with their faces covered, had reportedly been on the property for three hours before the farmer and two farmworkers returned home.
“The [farmer] became suspicious and tried to run, but one of the suspects allegedly threatened him with a firearm.
”He was then tied up and held at gunpoint while the robbers demanded access to his safe. When he said he did not have one, they assaulted him.
“The suspects allegedly assaulted him with a pick and sjambok [whip] and later cut his fingers with a side cutter in an attempt to force him to reveal the location of the safe key.”
The robbers eventually located the safe and stole five rifles, one pistol, ammunition, an undisclosed amount of cash, a bank card, and four cellphones.

The ANC has already significantly altered its position on BEE by opening up the policy framework for public debate.
The proposal is to increase the total points businesses can score in the Enterprise and Supplier Development element from 46 to 53 if they contribute to the fund. Roodt explained that this marks the beginning of the end of BEE in South Africa, as it signals that companies will eventually no longer have to comply with regulations but will simply contribute to the fund. “I think this is an opportunity to end BEE. I think we should all support the Transformation Fund on the condition that all BEE requirements are eventually scrapped,” Roodt said. “If you want BEE points, then you must pay for them.
