We open-sourced Addis Scribe Streaming, realtime speech recognition for Amharic. It beats Google Chirp 3 on both accuracy and speed: Word error rate: 28.4% vs 32.5% First words on screen: 1.56s vs 6.67s Final text after you stop talking: 30ms vs 1,411ms On natural speech (WAXAL) we beat Google Chirp 3 in both streaming and batch mode. On FLEURS we went from 35.0% to 19.8% WER. Hohe remains the most accurate offline Amharic model in our WAXAL test, and on FLEURS the two are within a point of each other (19.8% vs 20.6%). We built Addis Scribe for the live and edge inference side, where text has to appear while people are still talking. Trained on 5,000+ hours of Amharic speech. Test sets were never used in training. I was never annoyed like today by Delivery Apps. I love klik they are amazing but the restaurants are shitty they are way traditional and backward! But on the other hand BEU my godness the shittyness on this app i dont have any word on them they are just terrible and made by some intern from 90's The issue is not only the delivery app its also the restaurants, cafe's and others who are on the app, they should be able to really speed up the adoption idk for them IF IT WORKS DONT TOUCH IT wont work in my opinion!

Why cant i still inside VS CODE? i never liked any other code editor even with claude i am on VS code half screen cloud half screen the code, but sometimes i use full screen tho but i really am kinda not into the new ChatGPT App or Claude Desktop. Even i have never used Claude Co-Work may be i didnt have a scinario ? or Fable 5.1 i rarely use it, i dont like my token being burned while i can do most of the stuff with Opus or GPT Luna or something like that. I am geniunly not founding myself on using the trendy stuff like Jev i didnt find any usecase or may be am too busy these days. This is me concerning not catching up with the trend 😅️️️️️️
