🍿 The Angry Birds Movie 3 rips off the Dune poster and somehow earns it 📆 Estreno: December 23, 2026 🎭 Género: #Animation · #Comedy · #Family ✈️ Add to watchlist "Lisan al Birdee." That poster is funnier than most blockbuster marketing this year. Director John Rice and Jason Sudeikis are leaning hard into self-awareness, and it works. The first The Angry Birds Movie had no business being as funny as it was. Solid jokes, real craft underneath the IP slop. Three films in, the franchise is still betting on meme culture as its engine, and honestly, that bet looks smarter every time.

🧠 Idiocracy turns 20. It was right about everything except the timeline. Mike Judge gave President Camacho 500 years to emerge. We're speedrunning it in real time. The film's sharpest joke isn't the Brawndo ads or the toilet humor, it's that Camacho actually listened to an expert when it counted. That's the detail that stings most in 2026. Idiocracy didn't predict collapse or dictatorship. It predicted a world that stays just functional enough to keep humiliating itself, and somehow that's the scarier outcome. ✈️ Add to watchlist

🍿 Pokémon: Wild Card is real, and the poster already hits different 📆 Estreno: 2027 🎭 Género: #Animation #Adventure ✈️ Add to watchlist Seven years since Detective Pikachu and the franchise skips live-action entirely. Director Katsuhiko Kitada and CloverWorks (of Spy x Family) are centering a TCG player and Mimikyu. That alone is a more interesting premise than any nostalgia-bait reboot. The poster leans hard cyberpunk: dark palette, sharp angles. For a franchise that lived in pastel comfort for decades, this is a real tonal bet. Cautiously sold.

🍿 Wile E. Coyote almost got deleted. He survived. And the movie is actually good. 📆 Estreno: August 28, 2026 🎭 Género: #Comedy · #Animation · #LiveAction ✈️ Add to watchlist Director Dave Green and Will Forte spent years watching Warners try to bury this thing for a tax write-off. It finally hits theaters, and people are laughing all the way through. Minor miracle. On paper it sounds like a joke. Wile E. takes ACME to court. In practice the heart underneath is real, and you might walk out genuinely moved by a cartoon coyote. The live-action/animation blend earns its nod to Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The movie that nearly didn't exist turns out to be exactly what you needed.

🎃 Other Mommy: the trailer shot that cleared popcorn buckets nationwide 📆 Estreno: October 9, 2026 🎭 Género: #Horror #Thriller ✈️ Add to watchlist Jessica Chastain doing double duty as mom and monster is inspired casting. Rob Savage (Host) knows how to make one image do all the work. Her crouched beneath the kitchen table already broke multiplex audiences cold. Josh Malerman's novel has a blue, hairy demon; the film trades it for a doppelganger. A familiar face worn wrong beats any CGI beast. My only question: can it hold that dread past the first act. 🕳️

🍿 Ali G is back. Whether that's good news depends entirely on which Ali G you loved. 📆 Estreno: October 23, 2026 🎭 Género: #Comedy #Mockumentary ✈️ Add to watchlist Sacha Baron Cohen returns as Ali G, now 20 years older and thrown into TikTok culture. The self-aware conceit is genuinely funny. And yes, he directed it himself. The real question is which version shows up. The early Ali G, who exposed establishment cluelessness brilliantly in 'Ali G Indahouse', or the later one who just leaned into the joke until the joke stopped landing. Picturehouse passing is noise. October 23 is the only verdict that counts.

Chris Hansen bought ads before every screening of his own biopic. That move alone feels like an episode of his show. 📆 Estreno: September 25, 2026 🎭 Género: #Thriller #Drama #Crime ✈️ Add to watchlist Robert Pattinson plays Hansen at the peak of the 2006 To Catch a Predator frenzy. Director Lance Oppenheim has a gift for dissecting the theater of American obsession, and this subject fits him perfectly. Hansen refused to watch the film without a no-lawsuit clause, then bought preshow airtime to frame the story on his own terms. A24 couldn't have scripted better marketing.

🎬 Tim Curry is gone. There was nobody quite like him. Tim Curry died August 26 at 80. Frank-N-Furter in 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show', Wadsworth in 'Clue', the Lord of Darkness in 'Legend'. Each role a complete performance, zero filler. Post-stroke, the body slowed. The wit never did. That combination of theatrical precision and gleeful chaos is something film school can't teach and Netflix can't manufacture. RIP. 🎩

🍿 Ali G is back. 24 years later. Make it make sense. 📆 Estreno: October 23, 2026 🎭 Género: #Comedy #Documentary ✈️ Add to watchlist Sacha Baron Cohen wrote, directed and stars in this sequel to 'Ali G Indahouse', his feature directorial debut via Amazon MGM. The whole thing was shot in secret, which is honestly the most Ali G thing possible. The real question is whether the joke still lands. Prank comedy lives on the target not knowing who you are. Half the world knows Ali G now. The other half has never heard of him and couldn't care less about a parody of early-2000s UK roadman culture. That tension, a character frozen in time facing a world that moved on, could actually be interesting if Cohen leans into it. He probably won't. But the possibility is there.

🍿 Into the Sky: the alien abduction romcom nobody knew they needed 📆 Estreno: September 17, 2026 🎭 Género: #SciFi · #Comedy ✈️ Add to watchlist A guy just wants his wife back. The aliens won't let him. That's the whole pitch, and honestly it sells itself. The premise is absurdist gold, but what makes it land is the casting: Sam Richardson is exactly the kind of actor who makes cosmic humiliation feel warm rather than mean. If you slept on his Werewolves Within, fix that first. This feels like the same DNA: genre scaffolding, genuine heart, jokes that respect your intelligence. Premiering at Fantastic Fest, which tends to have good radar for this stuff.

🍿 $2 billion. Spider-Man did it alone. 📆 Estreno: July 31, 2026 🎭 Género: #Action · #Superhero ✈️ Add to watchlist Brand New Day just became the highest-grossing Spider-Man film ever and the first solo superhero movie to crack $2B worldwide. In 19 days. The Avengers needed a team to pull that off; Peter Parker did it with webs and a college backpack. Destin Daniel Cretton (the guy behind 'Shang-Chi') clearly understood what the Sony solo experiments never did: Spider-Man works when Marvel is in the room. Morbius, Madame Web, Kraven... that graveyard exists precisely so this film could feel like a resurrection. Jon Bernthal as Punisher dropping into a Spider-Man film is the kind of swing that only works when there's trust between the studios. Right now, that trust is printing money.

🍿 A billion dollars in four days. Sony is clinging to Peter Parker like their life depends on it. 📆 Estreno: July 31, 2026 🎭 Género: #Action · #Adventure · #Superhero ✈️ Add to watchlist Brand New Day just crossed $1B worldwide in four days, second-fastest ever behind Endgame. Director Destin Daniel Cretton delivered something genuinely grounded for a Holland Spider-Man, and that "I am both" payoff people keep talking about lands harder than any MCU moment in years. Sony killed every solo villain spinoff, kept Spider-Verse 3, and is now riding this wave with everything they've got. Smart. When your one sure thing is this sure, you don't dilute it with Morbius sequels. Tom Holland has now starred in multiple billion-dollar films and counting. At this point he is not just Sony's golden goose, he is the whole farm.

🎬 Ready Player Two is happening, and honestly the book being terrible is the best news possible Zak Penn is officially writing the sequel to 'Ready Player One', with Spielberg back as producer. Ernest Cline's second novel is, by near-universal agreement, a disaster. Wade becomes an insufferable tech-bro fantasy and the whole thing reads like Elon Musk fan fiction published in 2020. Penn deviated from the first book too, and that's largely why the movie worked. Here he has an even stronger case for throwing out the source material and keeping only the skeleton. The IP is the playground, not the plot. Use it.

🍿 $360 million in three days. Spider-Man just broke everything. 📆 Estreno: Now playing 🎭 Género: #Action · #Superhero · #Marvel ✈️ Add to watchlist Tom Holland and director Destin Daniel Cretton just handed Marvel its biggest opening in history: $360M domestic, edging out 'Avengers: Endgame' after seven years on top. Not a fluke. The top four all-time openings now belong to Marvel. That last part is where it gets interesting for me. Four Marvel titles. Zero surprises in the top four. The genre has basically colonized peak box office like it owns the deed. 'No Way Home' already proved this franchise has no ceiling; Brand New Day just confirmed it has no floor either. 🕷️

Street Fighter (2026): Jason Momoa is green. Very, very green. 📆 Estreno: October 16, 2026 🎭 Género: #Action · #VideoGame ✈️ Add to watchlist Kitao Sakurai directing a Street Fighter movie with Jason Momoa as Blanka is exactly the kind of casting that makes you tilt your head and just go with it. Andrew Koji as Ryu is the smarter choice on paper, and the Blanka vs. Ryu sequence has real momentum. The rapid cutting is my main concern, but I'll reserve judgment. The "so-bad-it's-good" lane feels too comfortable for a property that deserves better. I want this to be legitimately fun, not accidentally.

🍿 Avengers: Doomsday — RDJ's back, and he's not playing nice 📆 Estreno: December 18, 2026 🎭 Género: #Action · #SciFi · #Superhero ✈️ Add to watchlist What genuinely intrigues me is Robert Downey Jr. playing Victor Von Doom with a full accent and zero smirk. The Russos brought him back as the villain, and that's a real swing worth watching. Whether it lands depends entirely on whether the Russos keep Doom cold and theatrical, never winking at the audience. This is chapter one of a two-part reset leading into Secret Wars in 2027, so I'm cautiously in.

🎬 Heat 2 is real. DiCaprio, Bale, Mann. November shoot. After a year of difficult negotiations, DiCaprio and Bale are set to star in Michael Mann's sequel, filming starting in November. Bale takes Pacino's Vincent Hanna, DiCaprio steps into Kilmer's shoes as Chris Shiherlis. Mann at 83 is taking this globe-trotting production to LA, Chicago, Paraguay, and Singapore. For a director whose last few films barely registered at the box office, this reads like a final, uncompromising statement. The sequel nobody thought would actually happen is happening.

🍿 Suburbia meets the Cretaceous, and somehow nobody knows if that's a comedy 📆 Estreno: August 14, 2026 🎭 Género: #SciFi · #Survival · #Thriller ✈️ Add to watchlist David Robert Mitchell made his bones turning genre rules inside out, from 'It Follows' to the delirious neo-noir of Under the Silver Lake. Now, with Anne Hathaway clutching a porch rifle and Ewan McGregor in angel wings, he gets an $85M studio budget and dinosaurs in the front yard. The tone question is the whole ballgame here. The posters scream dark comedy, the synopsis reads survival horror, and early screenings got laughs. Mitchell playing it straight would intrigue me more than a knowing wink. Either way, this is the most original blockbuster pitch of the summer.

🍿 Backrooms hits PVOD July 7. A24's biggest hit ever, made by a 20-year-old. 📆 Estreno: July 7, 2026 (PVOD) 🎭 Género: #Horror · #SciFi ✈️ Add to watchlist Kane Parsons was 16 when he uploaded a YouTube short about endless fluorescent hallways. Now he's the youngest director to open at number one at the global box office, with $330 million and A24's all-time record. The nightmare logic here isn't a gimmick; it's the whole engine. Chiwetel Ejiofor grounds the disorientation with real weight, and the first two acts are genuinely suffocating. The third act wobbles, sure, but concept-driven horror lives and dies by atmosphere, and this one has it in spades.
