So how do you ride such powerful moves? 👉 Plot the 8 EMA on your chart. During strong parabolic rallies, the 8 EMA acts as a very effective trailing guide. As long as price continues to stay above the 8 EMA, stay with the trade and let your profits run. While the 20 EMA works well during normal trending markets and pullbacks, the 8 EMA is particularly useful during fast-moving breakout rallies where price barely retraces. This concept of using the 8 EMA as a trailing stop loss is discussed in Page 299 of The Trader's Handbook. https://shop.pivotcall.com/product/handbook/

How to Ride a Parabolic Move like Yesterday: Yesterday(12th June) at around 1:25 PM, Bank Nifty broke above the day's high with a strong bullish candle. After the breakout, there was no looking back. Price kept moving higher till market close, creating a parabolic rally with almost no retracement. Now, imagine you entered long on the breakout candle. Trade is working beautifully in your favour. But then the mind starts playing games — "Should I book at 1:2 risk reward?" "What if it reverses?" "Let me just take my profit here…" You book your profit early. And then you watch the market close near the days high — without you. This is how big moves are missed. Because of bad exit strategy. If you look at the chart, the breakout happened around 56,000, while the market eventually closed near 56,800. A large part of the 800 points move would have been missed.

In Switzerland, there is a beautiful town called Interlaken, where a statue stands in honour of the legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra 🇮🇳 Through his movies, Yash Ji introduced the breathtaking beauty of Switzerland to millions of Indians and made it a dream destination for generations of travellers. It is truly heartwarming to see an Indian legend being remembered and honoured in a foreign country with such respect and admiration. This is a proud moment for all Indians. Honoured to take a picture with Yash Ji’s statue 🙏

That’s why before taking any trade: ✅ Always mark important higher timeframe levels ✅ Observe the first candle carefully ✅ Watch whether buyers or sellers are rejecting those levels And once the swing high level gets rejected: Keep stop loss above the swing high and ride the trend by trailing stop loss. How to identify a trending day well in advance? Yesterday(21st May) was a perfect example. Global sentiment was positive Asian markets were positive Gift Nifty was positive Nifty opened gap-up Everything looked bullish day. But after the opening, Nifty made a bearish candle… and then the market turned into a pure downside trending day. ❌ No "V" reversal ❌ No breakout on upside ❌ No sideways day ✅ Just one-directional downside move So how could one identify this downtrend early? 📊 The answer was on the higher timeframe chart. Nifty had opened exactly near an important higher timeframe resistance: 👉 15th May swing high When price opens gap up near a major resistance and the first candle turns bearish, chances of a trending move in the opposite direction increase significantly.

This is why higher timeframe levels are extremely important. ❌ Don’t make trading decisions based only on small timeframes ✅ Always check higher timeframe support & resistance first Because higher timeframe charts reveal where institutions and major market participants are active. 💡 Many intraday reversals actually begin from important higher timeframe levels. This Gap concept discussed in detail on Page 252 of The Trader’s Handbook Paperback: https://shop.pivotcall.com/product/handbook/

Yesterday, global sentiment was extremely negative Asian markets were deep red Geopolitical news was negative Market sentiment was bearish As expected, both Nifty 50 & Bank Nifty opened gap-down with strong bearish candles. And initially, it looked like another bearish trend day. But suddenly around 9:55 AM, both Nifty & Bank Nifty made a sharp V-reversal. Many traders thought it was just a temporary pullback… But by the end of the day, the market closed near the day’s high — turning into a complete V-reversal day. So was this move random? 👉 No. 📊 Look at the higher timeframe chart of Bank Nifty. There was an important gap border support created between 7th & 8th April. ✅ Bank Nifty filled that gap almost perfectly ✅ Took support at the 7th April high ✅ And reversed sharply from there
