Eliyahu Ben Asher: 💥 So what are we seeing here? 🏳️ You can quibble and talk about tricks and deceptions, and waiting until after the midterm elections and the World Cup, but simply put, we are seeing a glorious American surrender here. They say the United States doesn't lose wars - it gets tired of them. Well, I think we are now seeing something of that live on air. The American show seemed quite impressive, but it turned out to be made of sugar. All along, I have said that the chance of a full agreement between Iran and the United States is almost nonexistent, and I stand by that statement. What we have here now is not an agreement, but a lot of words that cover the more classic concept of: a ceasefire. During this ceasefire, they are supposed to talk about a nuclear agreement, but the chance that Trump will sign a full nuclear agreement with Iran that will be just as bad as the previous agreement is very low. Why would he do that? It is much more likely in my opinion that he will simply try to brush this whole incident off and move on to the next arena. Trump likes to win and doesn't like to be bogged down. That's what he did in Gaza and that's what he did in Ukraine. That's what he did with Greenland. Another (and not impossible) alternative is that the Iranians will force him back into fighting until they are destroyed. That's not impossible. Their noses are in the sky now and they could still make him go back. At the same time, I don't think that's a reasonable assumption to base reality on. On the face of it, Trump has now given the Iranians everything they need to rise from the ashes and try to reestablish their Shiite empire. Where does that leave us? Thank God, that leaves us in control of large areas in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, and this is when it is clearer to us than before that we must rely primarily on the Almighty and ourselves, and that we have no privilege to retreat for papers and declarations. We also need to harness our strength as a rising regional power and be a real anchor for anyone interested in a future that is not subordinate to the Islamic Republic of Iran or the new Ottoman Empire. The Emirates, Somaliland, Morocco - there are people you can work with. Not everyone here is a zero-sum evil of the Saudi and Qatari variety. As I told my son who was sorry that there was school today because he hoped that Iranian missiles would close the schools again, that in the coming years the deal is clearly in his favor. Trump single-handedly secured the next rounds and the next wars with Iran and its proxies over the coming years. There will be many more school days canceled, and many planes overhead on their way to distant lands. One thing is for sure - it will not be boring here. https://t.me/EliyahuBA/3457

A thought - Anyone who has had dealings with a narcissist knows that when a narcissist turns on someone, it's game over for that person. Trump has already commented that Netanyahu might not be running in the elections. It doesn't appear to be based on anything but "because I said so". Trump's next project in his "solving all the problems in the world" fantasy, after the imaginary peace with Iran, could very well be a Palestinian deal. For that, he needs Netanyahu out of the way, and the foolish Israeli left to win the coming election.

Captain Job: Netanyahu to Trump: Israel not bound by Lebanese clause in Iran deal Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear in his conversation with US President Donald Trump that Israel does not see itself as bound by the Lebanese clause in the emerging US-Iranian deal. According to Israeli sources, Netanyahu emphasized that the IDF will not withdraw from Lebanon, will remain in its current positions and will continue to act against Hezbollah threats, including destroying terrorist infrastructure and responding to any attack against Israel. The message conveyed to the White House: Even if an agreement is signed between the US and Iran, Israel has an independent security interest in Lebanon - and it will continue to act in accordance with its security considerations. https://t.me/captainjob/56776

A few weeks ago, Trump boasted he could go to Israel and be elected prime minister. Today, he would lose to an amoeba.

Eliyahu Ben Asher: 📝 A reminder about the goals of Operation Lion's Roar 💥 One of the biggest problems with Israelis is their tendency to move from euphoria to despair without going through the middle. ... I argued today with a manager of a major Telegram channel who told me and other channel managers that "we just sat in the security rooms for six weeks during Operation Lion's Roar and we achieved nothing." So I thought it was worth talking about it. Trump had all sorts of ambitious plans in mind regarding Iran. He wanted to save the Iranian protesters, and he wanted to change the regime there, and he wanted to cut Iran off from China. All in all, he wanted the big things that Americans tend to want when they go to war, but Israel had more modest goals. Israel did not launch Operation Lion's Roar to eliminate the Iranian nuclear program, because most of the damage we wanted to do to this program was already done in Operation "Rising Lion" (June '25). What particularly bothered us (this time) was the Iranian missile program and the Iranian missile industry, which was relatively almost unharmed during Operation Rising Lion. The Iranians decided to dramatically expand the rate of their missile production, and if they had been allowed to continue, they would have reached a pace where we had no way of catching it with interceptors. It had become a major strategic threat, and as such it was presented by Trump and Netanyahu just before the Iranian protests broke out. In addition, we wanted to deepen the damage to the nuclear program, and to scorch the Iranian industry, and of course we wanted to eliminate as much of the senior leadership of the ayatollahs' state as possible. All of these goals were achieved, and it is worth remembering that. Six weeks of crushing Iran from the air did not topple the regime or cause unicorns to jump around the Middle East surrounded by phosphorescent butterflies. What they did do was inflict a multi-systemic blow on the entire Iranian missile production chain. The Iranian leadership, including Grandfather Khamenei, was sent to their maker. The Iranian nuclear program, in all its components, took more and more blows from the air, and every aspect of its military capabilities were eroded and weakened. The Iranians lost about 10,000 fighters, and assets worth hundreds of billions (including the entire fleet that was sunk). Did this close the story of Iran as an enemy? No. Did it solve the problem of the existing uranium? No. Will a total solution be found for the Hormuz problem? No. Will this multi-systemic damage last forever? No. But to come now and cry that we sat in the security rooms for nothing, and that it would have been better to avoid this whole business - is ridiculous. We have weakened our main enemy by orders of magnitude, and that is no small matter. Oh, and we also conquered 600 square kilometers of Lebanon and ended the Radwan Force's invasion threat. That's worth remembering too. Every solution creates new problems. Some are expected, some are not. The Israelis are always sure that the current war is "the last war," and if it's not "the last war," then it wasn't worth it. I have news for you: there will be many more wars. The channel will have enough material in the coming decade. Don't worry, don't get euphoric, and don't despair. https://t.me/EliyahuBA/3431

Who says there is no work in Gaza? This Gazan joker tells of his 3 "jobs". Somehow I suspect it's actually his children who are really doing this work. As we've seen, in Gaza queuing for handouts is more often than not a chore for children. TikTok timestamp: 20 May '26 #TheGazaYouDontSee https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSQM5HPoN/

This Gazan updates that because Iran attacked Israel last night, Israel closed the crossing with Gaza today for security reasons. He says the merchants in Gaza are happy. They have plenty of merchandise, he says, but they still hid part of it and put up the prices of the rest, citing the closure as an excuse. He says anyone who does this, Allah help him. Reopening in Gaza City - a private school "Creativity Without Limits Model Private School" on Malaysia St., behind Panda Mall. If you followed me before the war, you'll remember the many lovely private schools that served Gaza's wealthy elite, as opposed to the huge industrial UNRWA schools, churning out willing cannon fodder for Jihad.
