We didn't break up because someone made a mistake. We broke up because time changed us in ways we never expected. We grew older, carried different dreams, and slowly became strangers to the future we once imagined together. What we had was beautiful, but not everything beautiful is meant to last forever. Sometimes I look back and wonder what could have happened if we had met at a different time. Not because I want us back, but because a part of me will always be grateful for the person you were in my life. We were once everything to each other, and maybe that's enough. Some people are meant to stay in your heart, even when they can no longer stay in your life.
