I dared my wife to challenge me with a Task 1 question right about twenty minutes ago, and she didn't disappoint. (She could have gone easy on me, but no, haha.) Here comes my report that I wrote in 19 minutes. 329 words.

The two plans illustrate the current and future layouts of a certain college after development. Overall, the college is expected to undergo significant alterations, becoming more well-equipped to teach students science and technology subjects. It’s also clear that there will be some other improvements to encourage sports and provide extra study and relaxation areas by introducing a new sports hall, a cafe, and a library. However, some of these changes will necessitate the complete removal of the green area. Today, the college has a more traditional look. The entrance to the college premises is in the north, which puts the visitors on a narrow corridor lined with ten teaching rooms on both sides, five on each, along with a spacious staff room at the end of the corridor in front of the entrance. To the east of the teaching area stands a woodland, while on the other side a large sports field occupies the southwest. The last two facilities are the car park located next to the teaching area in the northeast and an administrative offices building to the left of the parking lot. In the future, the college will have a much improved design and boast many new amenities. Starting with the teaching area, the entrance to the building is going to remain unchanged, but this area is planned to be extended by adding two more lecture rooms on both sides of the corridor, and the staff room is to be expanded too. The area with trees on the eastern side will be replaced by three laboratories and one computer room in the southeast, separated from the main building (teaching area) with a corridor. The sports field in the southwest will be halved in size to make way for a sports hall. In the northwestern part of the college, the administration building will not be touched, as opposed to the car park, which a cafe and a library will replace, with the latter located just below the former.
