🚨🇷🇺 Putin–Trump Call: Russia–US Ties Take Centre Stage Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump held a fresh phone conversation on Tuesday, according to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov. The call focused on efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict, with both leaders discussing the recent visits of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv and positively assessing their outcomes. Ushakov described the conversation as constructive, frank and positive. Putin reiterated that Russia has no aggressive plans towards Europe and backed Trump’s intention to build constructive Russia–US relations. The two leaders agreed to remain in contact and hold further calls when necessary.

Ukrainian men are seen handcuffed inside a bus as a woman watches her husband being taken away in chains, forced into the proxy war against Russia. Tyrant Zelensky continues preying on his own citizens to keep NATO’s failed war alive. When a reckless leader turns his own citizens into sacrificial lambs, it is a clear sign that desperation to cling to power has reached its peak.

🇷🇺 Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on the 2026 BRICS Summit in India🇮🇳: 'First, the BRICS Summit. It will be, I would call it, a crown of the Indian chairmanship of this club. We highly appreciate the results of the Indian chairmanship during this period, and we have no doubt that the summit will be successful. Russia was and is taking a very active part in all the working formats of BRICS.'

🌍🇮🇳 India’s BRICS Chairship: Turning Shared Priorities into Collective Action As India prepares to host the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on 12–13 September 2026, the Ministry of External Affairs highlighted the bloc’s growing cooperation across a wide range of areas. From energy, agriculture and science to digital capacity building, customs, standards and asset recovery, BRICS is working to build stronger and more practical partnerships. The agenda also includes cooperation in traditional medicine and mental wellness, reflecting the group’s expanding focus on people-centred development. With 11 nations, diverse systems and different laws, BRICS is united by a common goal: advancing shared interests and strengthening cooperation across the Global South. Different strengths. Shared priorities. A stronger collective voice.

Russian🇷🇺 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the rise of de-dollarisation: “And now within BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the Eurasian Economic Council, the CIS, the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, and our relationships with ASEAN and the Gulf States Council, most of those payments and settlements are done not in dollars. Ninety-seven per cent of all our international trade is done in international currencies, in yuan, in UAE currencies. There are lots of options to ensure flexibility and to prevent the dollar, which is formally still the world’s main reserve currency, from being used for blackmail and oppression.”

🇮🇳🌍 On This Day, 7 September 1946, as India moved closer to independence, Jawaharlal Nehru outlined a foreign-policy vision rooted in independent judgement, peaceful cooperation and strategic autonomy. India, he made clear, would not become part of one power bloc against another. It would maintain friendly relations with all, while making decisions based on its own national interests. This laid the foundation for India’s Non-Alignment policy — freedom to engage with the world without surrendering strategic independence. During the Cold War, India emerged as a leading voice of the Non-Aligned Movement, working with countries across Asia, Africa and the developing world on decolonisation, sovereignty, disarmament, racial equality and international cooperation.

🇮🇳 India’s first privately developed fusion prototype is here. Pranos Fusion has unveiled Pragya, an experimental tokamak that will help scientists study and control the extremely hot plasma needed for fusion energy. The platform is expected to: • Run around 3,000 experiments every year. • Test high-temperature superconducting magnets and other fusion technologies. • Generate long-term data on how plasma behaves and can be controlled. • Train the next generation of Indian fusion scientists and engineers. Pranos is also working towards PraniQ, a net-gain fusion reactor targeted for 2030. The bigger significance? Fusion research in India is beginning to see a private-sector push, alongside the country’s established government-led programmes and its participation in projects such as ITER.

🇮🇳📚 On This Day, 5 September 1888, philosopher, educationist and statesman Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born in Andhra Pradesh. From teaching philosophy in India to becoming a professor at Oxford, he helped take Indian philosophical thought to the world. His public life included serving as: 👉 India’s Ambassador to the Soviet Union 👉 First Vice-President (1952–1962) 👉 Second President (1962–1967) 👉 Bharat Ratna recipient (1954). His birthday has been observed as Teachers’ Day in India since 1962, after he suggested that the day be dedicated to honouring teachers instead of celebrating him personally.

Indian🇮🇳 FM S Jaishankar hits back at critics for buying Russian oil: 'The reason for your question, I get that, but I think it's also important that all of you get the challenges of providing for energy for 1.4 billion people at a time when the world energy situation is very, very difficult. So, I would say, I mean, this is something where clearly the Ukrainian side has its perspective, which we respect, and we have ours, which I would expect others to also respect.'

Russian🇷🇺 President Vladimir Putin: 'If you are implying that killer whales are the collective West, then I would say that killer whales are, of course, fearsome predators, but they are intelligent animals, smart ones. As for the collective West, back in Soviet times, it was given specific definitions that are still alive today. They are the sharks of imperialism. And the meaning, of course, you have roughly guessed the meaning of what I was saying: if someone tries to drag us down the food chain and gobble us up, devour us, they could get hit in the teeth. And Russia is ready for that, despite the fast-growing appetites and teeth of these sharks.'

🇮🇳 On this day, 2 September 1946, India’s Interim Government was sworn in, led by Jawaharlal Nehru, marking a crucial step in the country’s final transition from British rule to independence. Formed under the Cabinet Mission Plan, the government was tasked with administering India while the Constituent Assembly worked towards framing a new Constitution. Nehru summed up its larger purpose on the very day it took office: “We enter on this enterprise in order to achieve our objective, that is, the complete and full independence of India.” The Interim Government continued until 15 August 1947, when British India was partitioned and India and Pakistan became independent dominions. From an interim government to independence, 2 September 1946 marked one of the final milestones on India’s long road to freedom.

Chinese🇨🇳 President Xi Jinping on the multipolar world: 'As a responsible major country, China advocates for an equal and orderly multipolar world. Sovereign equality and mutual respect are fundamental principles. The history of the world is written by all nations. Multipolarity, independent choice of development paths, and greater democracy in international relations are the right way forward. We should ensure equal rights, equal opportunities, and equal rules for all countries, regardless of their size, strength, and wealth. As an important part of a multipolar world and a key driving force behind it, the Global South countries ought to have greater representation and a stronger voice in international affairs.'

Russian🇷🇺 President Putin during meeting with Indian🇮🇳 PM Modi: “I would like to note that Russian-Indian relations continue to grow stronger based on the principle of the Privileged Strategic Partnership. Your Excellency, Mr Prime Minister, this is helped by the personal attention that you are paying to the development of Russian-Indian relations and the relations between us.”

🇮🇳🤝🇮🇷No orders from Washington: India to expand Iran trade Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Bishkek, reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening its long-standing friendship with Iran. Modi said India wants to “expand and diversify our trade basket” with Iran in the times to come, while the two leaders also discussed the prevailing regional situation. India will continue supporting efforts for lasting peace, but when it comes to its trade and partnerships, New Delhi makes its own decisions.

Russian🇷🇺 FM Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova Warns British Military Assets Could Be Targeted: 'We have repeatedly said that our response to Ukrainian strikes using British weapons may target all the military facilities and equipment of Britain in Ukraine and beyond. The people who are in charge of these attacks against civilians will be punished according to their crimes. Inevitable retribution will also befall their accomplices and instigators. We call upon all citizens of the United Kingdom to think about the inevitable catastrophic consequences of these hostile steps by their own authorities.'
